Could the Huawei ban cause more harm than we realize?

The recent hot news is the ban from the U.S. on the very successful Chinese brand, Huawei.

As dominating the huawei flagship phones are, the telecommunication equipment business is where Huawei really dominates.

Huawei was doing really great for themselves, from the extraordinary smartphones to the taking over the equipment industry, and of course the 5G race.

The ban has put a major bump on their road to the top, but should we, the normal consumers, really care?
Will it effect us in anyway?
