How does some measure the overall happiness in the country?
What evokes happiness?
I think this topic popped in my head when I went out for a stroll, travelling around in the beautiful Kharkov city in Ukraine.
I started thinking about the articles I read on the happiest countries in the world by UN. That lead me to thinking about the video that debunked it. That lead me to a rabbithole of how and what really goes into raising the overall happiness.

I doubt that people from Scandinavian countries are the happiest.. I live in Spain in very touristic place where we have a lot of people from Norway, Netherlands, Iceland... And, yes... All those countries have bigger wages than Spain... they have better social security... better houses... but... When they come here... they are different people... And they are talking about how is great to see sun every day... They are smiling a lot more than when go home...
So, it's not everything in the money...

You're right. The Scandinavian people are among the most depressed citizens of the planet. Even people living in Africa with under $1 a day are more happy than those poor rich individuals.
