So many of us spend most of our days doing and doing and doing some more. Instead of sitting down and wondering why we are running around like crazy people, we keep on running ourselves ragged. Why do we do that?? Where is it getting us?

You have a wonderful way of looking at things. It seems people get trapped in the rat race of doing because they are not millionaires. They are forced to work to make a living. Many, if not most at jobs they don't care for. Some in the USA work two jobs to maintain a standard of living they think they need. I grew up in the 60'S hippie era. It had it's good side as well as it's destructive one. Living is learning. Some old beliefs are discarded along the way. Your smile is our gift and you have a great one.

You are so right. I just finished my study as "technology management and marine engineering" and everybody is just pushing me to get a job, but I'm not interested. I want to injoy life and one day in the future, when i fell like getting a job, I will do it. But it have to be one my terms. I actually injoy learning more now :-)

Nice quote. I think it has a lot to do with industrializing. Get as many product for as cheap as possible in the least amount of time. And over many years we have develop a system that pushes you right to the edge of your limits, and some some people even beyond.
For many years people have been motivated for the greater good as there were many wars to recover from and space races to achieve.
But now in times of peace the next generation has not seen any wars, anything that could endanger them. They became lazy and innovation stagnates. Well innovation is still there, but not the money to back it all up.
That people runs around in circles is mainly because we don't learn from the past, instead we repeat it over and over again. with some achievements in between. And when shit happens no one is prepared to do the right thing.
Its always someone else that needs the "clean up this mess."
But i think man kind can achieve many more things that we already have
done so far. We could have been to mars already trying to colonies it if it wasn't for the damn money preventing it.
