Do Not Send Pity Into The World - Send Joy, Hope, And Love

When we see someone around us who is going through a hard time, our general inclination is to send them pity. Why is that? That's a negative emotion. They already probably have a lot of negative emotion in their life. Why are we sending them more of that?
