TeePee UP, TeePee DOWN

in dtube •  6 years ago

Here we have the up and down story of a TeePee. This was filmed over 4 days surrounding an Event at Hostel Del Lago in Guatemala.
I was sure that I could whip out a nice easy Video with this one. But editing is a funny thing. As I explore and learn new skills...I often find that what I used to accept as good enough...now that I have learned to fix this or that thing, I cant just leave the flaw. As soon as I start seeing or hearing flaws...i see and here more flaws. So while I’m faster and know my way around the editing suite these days, my videos take so much longer to make than before.
Audio is such a bitch really...I still hear so many issues with this vid but I have not fully figured out the art of the smooth unnoticed transition...damn if I don’t try though.
At the end of the day I enjoy learning a bit more each vid and I feel good about the final imperfect product.

Thanks to Michelle, Shantaram, Lucas, Santos and Manuel for helping make this crazy TeePee event! Soon i will put out the full video of the day with all the performers and artists..as there were some 20 folks involved in its creation!

M8, that really was one legendary vlog. I had goosebumps at one point when the silk performers started because it felt like I was really there. The build up, then the performance, it really felt like I was sat in a chair at your hostel all day, just watching the whole thing.

Plus the mountains and lake in the background.... Epic-ness! I think I've been in one place for too long now cause it gave me the wander lust big time.
