Important or Urgent? | Support your Community | Real Talk Ep. 7

in dtube •  7 years ago  (edited)

Today's video is about evaluating what is Important vs. what is Urgent. What choices are you making both on DTube and Steemit, but also in life. Hope you enjoy this Real Talk segment.

With Gratitude,
Captain Bob

I always find myself coming back to check out your content @captainbob. Mostly because it's you I enjoy so much and all the valuable things that you share. It's like being able to catch up with a friend that you haven't had a chance to see in a while and get the visual experience of the moments gone by. But of course I always love to chat with you as well. You are a very kind and genuine man and have added so much value being here. I appreciate you a lot! 💛

Wow, thank you Sarah. I really appreciate those kind words. It means more than perhaps you know.

😊💗

I expect to see a "The Captain is In" sign in the background next time. :)

Hahahaha. I'll work on that next time :D

Very informative thank you @captainbob to explain it. Hope other people like it. Keep it up :)

Thank you and glad you enjoyed it.

Nah man I am already rich I don't care about earning more money. I am here to support the community. I am here in my garage next to my lambo and my other lambo reading books passing out that dope knawldge

Sweet! I want all my friends to be happy, successful, and passing out dope knawldge, lol

Truth bombs right here man!
It's so hard for me to concentrate on community and my vlogs though..

Balance is certainly key here, but the reality is the DTube big upvotes will only last so long and the community is what will be your key in the long run in my opinion. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment though :)

Yeah i totally agree with you!
No worries and thank you for making me thinking! :)

Wooo this one hit me in the feels! This is real talk!!!!! I am so guilty of this! It's hard to create balance especially when you live off of this full time. I'm actually going to make a video about that soon! But regardless, you can't neglect the community side of things! Great vid brother.

I enjoyed it. Thank you!

Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.

Good advise Skipper, it's all about the relationships you develop. A wise man said to me many years ago "Nobody lies on their death bed saying I wish I would have worked a little more".

Amen brother. That's one of my favorite quotes.

Community is that what builds real value.

Agreed.

Can we still be friends since I'm not a dtube daily person? :)

Always :)

That is so true.. its always about the people. It's great to remind us all because life can really take the best of us sometimes.

Absolutely! Guilty as charged that I can get caught up in the same thing many times.

sometimes we really forget what is important. I think that sharing and supporting people in things they do are very important. we can help each other, learn from each other.
it's an amazing post Captain. Thanks for sharing this :)

Hey thank you man and I appreciate the feedback. Totally agree with everything you said.

The message is great! We were talking about the meaning of urgency and importance in a seminar some years ago and I never gave much thoughts about it. So, thanks for reminding me again.
It's true that sometimes with all that work here on DTube I also forget to interact just more with the people. That's why I like Winny's idea of also having regular voice and video chats with different people.

Yes, it's easy to be super busy creating and editing, etc. We all have that hustle going on and can easily find the time gone. Thanks for watching!

@captainbob I'm really glad you got a huge dtube upvote on this one because you absolutely deserved it. Its absolutely a struggle of mine as well, especially considering that we only have 24 hours in a day. That balance is so necessary and without it, there's a very obvious sense of loneliness that becomes present.

Thanks for the fantastic real talk episode brother!

Glad you enjoyed it and hey, we all have those times right? It's as much a reminder to me as to anyone else. Thanks for following along :)

A quote by Zig Ziglar comes to mind: "You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want."

I want all my friends to be wealthy and successful, and I'll do all I can to help them get there :)

I'm not only on the same page with you here @captainbob, I'm on the same sentence. No.. we're on the same word. I think that word is "important". GREAT Video!

Ah thank you man! I appreciate that feedback!

I like this video. pls upvote me.

hahaha, just kidding. Very important message here and it's part of the hustle of steemit is to appreciate everyone else's hustle. We'll all be laughing at the end of the year when our community goes bezerk and we're sitting there with copious amounts of steempower
