Escaping the Algorithm

Absolutely agree. The type of content I create (more for my own entertainment than trying to make money or anything) falls under a LOT of content ID claims because of its very transformative nature of other content that I find. There are numerous discussions on Twitter between much larger Youtubers showing charts and numbers directly from the analytics pages that all content creators have, and it shows how videos that get copyright claimed are pretty much guaranteed to perform worse than content that isn't, and Youtube isn't exactly quiet with what they favor. The CEO Susan herself was seen talking with a rather well known rapper about how Youtube needed to help him get more views as if he didn't already have thousands, while they continue to fill the Trending page with mostly television content like nightly news hosts, sports, and music videos. They're very disconnected from a greater portion of the community and it's not easy to work with them.
Here on DTube, I find myself to be a bit of a loner but at least I'm not struggling just to be a creator.

I use both but love the aspect of Dtube you speak about. It allows you to grow as a creator. Thank you for taking the time to check out the post =)
