Hi Friends!
If you are anything like me, you have tons of t-shirts that you've gotten from conferences or as giveaways from companies that you rarely wear. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not a huge fan of t-shirts because I think it's a pretty unflattering look.
I have this awesome @steemonsters shirt that I got at Steemfest that I wish I was reppin' more often - so I decided to transform it into a totally different top that I'll be excited to wear to the market, or to a concert with friends.
Speaking of Yaba... he just released a Witness Update post yesterday that is a great read and details all the awesome stuff he's been developing for the blockchain.
Back to the shirt...
In this video I show you a super easy way to turn a basic t-shirt into a cute, tie-front tank top. The final product is a lot edgier, more interesting and a much more feminine silhouette. I can't wait to be reppin my Steem Monsters shirt more often now!

I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and you'll have to let me know if any of you decide to try this! I know the tie-front style is more geared towards women - but men could certainly cut the arms off if they wanted a tank top too if they wanted.
Have any of you guys tried this before - or do you think i'm crazy for for cutting up a perfectly good shirt?

Actually I think our design process allows us to release tank-tops too, but we haven't actually released any merch yet other than the few Katy and I got for ourselves.
Edit: I take it back, they are released but we have done zero promotion so of course we haven't sold any.

I always accept T-shirts haha. They look great! Fun colors too. Are you guys doing print on demand? Such a cool way to get shirts without having to actually purchase a ton up front and ship them out of your house etc.

Actually just me this time. Raven is on a pretty strict nap schedule now and we realized it wouldn't work as well as last time.
We are doing print on demand. We tried to get these out before Toronto but the first few we bought to take as prototypes were delayed. We're not going to give any away at Austin either (though I do have some other SBI benefits in mind for all attendees). At some point there will be a bounty on wearing SBI shirts to meetups, but we have some performance milestones to hit before then.

There's nothing crazy about getting yourself a super cool, totally unique top that still reps some of the funnest Steem applications.
If I manage to ever score myself a Steemmonsters top, I'll have to cut some claw marks in, add in some arrow holes and burn it a little, to show that I've been through the wars... surely that'd bring a smile to the monsters faces, even to the ever grumpy flesh golems and gold dragons.

Ah yes, the T-shirt to sleeveles top swticheroo.
Takes me back a few years when it had become a trend to do this. Both guys and girls alike is used to do this and it was super cool and everybody had a huge girn on their faces...or maybe it was just a smile.
One trick I learnt during doing this was that if you fold the tshirt in half and overlap one sleeve over the other and make the cut it looks more uniform, just like how you did it for the bottom to make the slit.

They never give away t-shirts that fit me, they're always too big. I wear a 5xl. 🤣🤣🤣 But the good thing about watching your video is, you always put a smile on my face. 😺

My voyages into anything tie dye or even just fabric related have been HUGE tragedies that would not make anyone smile. Home Ec class in High School is something I try not to think about lol.
I see things like this and think they are cute and want to try, but NO!!! don't do it. Everything will be ruined by my cutting.
But I love the new shirt!. It's so good on you and people will like it and comment. Very good for promos, I think :)
