Wow, you guys! It's hard to believe that I joined the Steemit Platform about 6 months ago. What a life changing decision that has been. I'm so grateful for the relationships I have built along the way and the amazing people who have encouraged me to keep creating.

Before joining Steemit, I had never written a blog post or recording myself playing music. The incredible support and encouragement of this community has made me want to create more and more each week!

What feels really unique to me is that I truly and honestly feel like I have built deep friendships here. I wish more of you lived close to me and so we could go grab a beer sometimes! It's pretty cool to be surrounding by so many caring, conscious people that are living out their passions.

I want to give a special shout-out to those who have really made a special impact on me here over the last six months:

@raised2b, @soykatonline, @steemmatt, @brian.rrr, @teamhumble, @dayleeo, @bitcoinflood, @dtube, @nanzo-scoop, @soundlegion, @passion-ground, @curie, @luczypher, @jenkinrocket, @stanhopeofficial, @thekitchenfairy, @guitartech, @arbitrarykitten, @intuitivejakob, @offoodandart, @jkenny, @verbal-d, @josediccus

There are SO many more... but these are the people who were top of mind. You might see a big group of open mic folks in here and that is because I am eternally grateful for the support of that community. I was so nervous to post my first few open mic videos, and your kind words really helped me to keep going! Now I'm posting all sorts of crazy things!

Ok, so I didn't want this post to just be a "Look I have a 1000 followers post" and so I've decided to give back in some way. Lately I've been having a lot of people leave comments on my posts asking for advice in different areas - and that's what sparked the idea for this giveaway.

I thought that it would be cool to have a bank of good advice that I can share with these steemians. It's one thing to offer my own advice and opinions, but how cool would it be to have a post to share with them that lists a whole host of advice from users all over the Steemisphere??

10 SBD Giveaway Rules

  1. Comment on this post with one of your best pieces of Steemit advice. This could be geared to new users, more experienced users, or something that covers a spectrum of people. Try to be original and bring you unique experience to the advice.

  2. Wait till next week to see who won! The contest will close after 7 days and I will post the winner.

I wanted to keep this SUPER simple. To determine the winner, I will put all eligible submissions into a hat and will draw a random winner.

Any comment that I find to be especially helpful, thoughtful, or detailed will get their name thrown in the hat twice.

I can't wait to see what advice you guys give and I hope that I learn a few things as well!

Thanks again to everyone that has supported me in this journey. Big love to you. <3

Here is my advice , Open your horizons !! I am not a great writer but I started reading others original work , Terrible musician but I love to listen and learn about music , Photos << I am getting better , My point is to move out of your comfort zone and jump into what others are good at .. You will learn a ton and gain many friends on the platform !

LOVE this advice! Getting out of your comfort zone is usually the first step to something great. Opening your horizons and exploring new types of content is a wonderful piece of advice as well!

I just wanna say thanks for the support and encouragement you have shown on my posts! It means a lot to me @jkenny!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

O wow, Congratulations on this big achievement.
What would be your next goal?

Hmm great question @sulfan! I guess it would depend on my definition of achievement. For me, I have been wanting to diversify the type of content I post, but sometimes felt lost on what to talk about. The last week or two I have been experimenting with different things, and it has been a lot of fun. So I would say my next big goal is to feel more established in a few other areas of Steemit besides just the music scene.

Thanks for your support and encouragement!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! )

Wow, it's nice to see your fan club explode! Congratulations on just the beginning of your humble empire, and thanks for the honorable mention. Just no makeup lines when you become famous, please!

Keep doing exactly what you're doing because it's working. It's all real and all genuine. It's obvious that you're always seeking ways to improve and putting in the hard work to see it through. Success can't help but keep coming your way as a leader in time here.

I feel like I just signed our Steemit high school yearbook since we sort of came up in the same class. I was the jock and class clown, and you were the prom queen and most likely to succeed.

Well done!

My advice to Steemians (not entering in the contest), is to experiment in different niches until you find the ones that make you happy every time you make a contribution. People will catch on to your passion and enthusiasm this way, and start looking for your material, instead of you hoping they find it. Always be networking and giving to others. Do not expect anything. Comment around to earn your followers and see the reward for this hard work when your blog posts get more traction. It takes time. It can take several months. See the end goal you want and put legitimate effort in on a consistent basis to achieve it.

YES!!! I love your analogy of being in the same “class”. Hopefully you write more than “Have a Nice Summer” in my yearbook. 😆

So funny to think back when I first found one of your posts about re-selling found or purchased items. I thought your business model was SUPER interesting. (Still do) But it is interesting to see how much both of our blogs have changed and evolved over time. You’re probably one of the only people that I met in the beginning that is still going strong here. Pretty awesome.

Thanks for giving some really solid advice to new Steemians. I love the line about not expecting anything. Seems to be something that a lot of new users are missing the mark on.

Authenticity! Be the best version of yourself. Dont use authenticity as an excuse to be negative. The best version of you IS positive energy. Embody it and manifest!

Such great advice. Those who are able to authentically present themselves, almost always produce content that people actually connect with.

By the way, your bright yellow profile picture is seriously awesome! Love the good vibes. :-)

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Follower #1026 here, checking in!

Hahah I love it!! Thanks #1026. 😉

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses!)

My best tip of advice is so simple and yet helps and can still help so many my tip is...
Make a Steemit Profile Picture right away. Sure it can be unique or personal or just a random photo but having the blank default is just boring looking. Some users are just getting started other users have been on here for months and still have not got around to setting a profile photo. I can even see a few here in the comments of this post without one. Although its not required it helps add a better look to the comments and give your posts and comments a more official look. My post here about how to do it is actually trending on Google Search https://steemit.com/google/@isteemithard/my-steemit-post-is-first-on-google-search-steemit-profile-picture-how-to-upload-a-steemit-profile-picture
I like how clear and pretty @coruscate's photos look

Great tip for new users! You are right that if someone doesn’t have a profile picture, most people assume they are Espan account. Thanks for including a helpful link to your tutorial as well!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

awesome and no apologies necessary my entry was more with the intent to help others than it was to gain winning but thank you and your welcome.

Congrads on this achievement!

My #1 thing I could advise new steemians on this platform since I've been doing it over a year and half is to engage, engage and engage with the community. Don't let it think it's going to do the work for you. This is the only advice I ever give now!

Thanks for the thought response @steemitqa!! I love that you’ve simplified your advice to the most important thing of all. Not to mention you are great about practicing what you preach! You always seem to be very active with commenting and engaging and others posts.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Well, my advice goes thus;

See Steemit as a platform to learn because ultimately, that's what we need in life "to continue learning" while growing on the platform, do not be greedy about the earnings because that might affect the quality of your posts and your growth in general. Take it as serious as you would take your job or an academic project.
Finally, do not hesitate to give back to the community and outside the community. Invite other people to come and earn, use your earnings to support people in need and don't forget to be diligent in personal spendings.

Congratulations on your 1000 followers! You deserve these people who are loyal to you and your music.

Anyways, I would like to believe that I learned the essence of Steemit the hard way. I was invited here with very little knowledge of the platform except ho to cash out lol. My orientation was towards earning and getting that money from the platform (especially when SBD was as high as 15$ back then). I thought Steemit would give me easy money but turns our, it didn't. But I was glad how my interpersonal skills made it so much easier. Here are my best insights:

  1. Quality = This is after all the brand of the platform. Post quality content. Curate great content. Be at your best when you leave a comment. Being full of quality is hard but it does help if you make it a habit. Sooner or later I bet quality will chase after you as well.
  2. Have a community minded orientation = Although Steemit was not made initially to form congregations or groups it is amazing how human nature takes hold of things. I have seen Steemit grow into communities and I believe this is one factor to consider. Share insights with like-minded people and build connections. This is very important
  3. Have fun: You cant possibly be in a social media platform without having fun. The opportunities in Steemit are endless. What really matters is that you have fun with what you do (and maybe earn from it) Either way you are at no loss. Get to know yourself, what makes you tick? And when you find that, make it your niche!
  4. Do more expect less: The incentivized system of steemit is pretty amazing. Until now I cant believe that this is even possible. However, the system can take a toll on you esteem as well especially after seeing trending posts get a lot of rewards. Make steemit your home, a place for you and friends. The rewards are just a bonus.

These are my thoughts on being on board the Steemit journey. So far, I have realized that I want to host contests and I want to participate in some as well. I actually found your contest in @artz's compilation. I did this by following the advice that I have just given. I had fun scrolling through the contests and I even had the chance to stop by and hear some of your music. Great voice!

Anyways, great contest. I have high regard for people who give people a chance on steemit through contests. I have grown a lot because of those contests and I want to do the same for others. Best of luck to you. Count me in as one of your friend. Consider your followers 1,001 (Actually you have 1,075 as of writing but for the sake of my joke, let it be LOL haha)

-@josejirafa

I bet that quality will chase after you as well.

Brilliant line! I couldn’t agree with you more. Like-minded people tend to find each other, and those who appreciate good content or more likely to interact with others who feel the same way. :-)

Also, your section on “do more, expect less” really hit home. A lot of people think they can get rich quick, but they have to be willing to put the work in to make it.

Great to see that you are following your own advice about having fun! :-) Thanks so much for your kind words about my Music post. I’m glad you enjoyed them!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

No worries. I know how hard it is to conduct your own contest. I have mine as well. Its still small but it did cost a lot of time. Best of luck to everyone who joined. Thanks again

Congratulations, great achievement! Well my advice it would be: "Just enjoy yourself". Dont do it for the money, do it to share your knowledge and experience with other people. If you enjoy youself, success will come on the way.

Thanks for sharing this great piece and advice! Focusing on enjoying yourself is a great way to approach things! :-)

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

@coruscate

this is my advice

There is nothing permanent in this world. Go live your life. As eager as you could be. Don't let judgments take over you. Let your voice be heard. Let your passion be shown. Let your skills be enhanced . Let your dreams go higher. Never stop chasing your dreams. No one can stop you, none other than yourself. Be your own protection , your guide , your inspiration. Don't let regrets come along your way instead be it walking away out of your place. Live your life . Live your dreams. Live and love here in steemit .!

Don't be afraid, you can do it. Yes, we can do it all.... :)

LOVE this advice!! Your eagerness towards life really shines through in your writing. Keep up the positive energy!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Nice, congrats! I honestly don't have much advice as I just joined Steemit today. I am open to receiving advice, however.

Welcome to Steemit!! Well, over 100 people gave their advice here, so you should have plenty of tips to read through! :-)

Im not here for some advise, im here to be inspired. im still small and as iam reading this post of yours, theres a loooooong way to go. This makes me strive harder to get to where you are now :) My advise is please dont ever give up for you are one of those people giving us reason not to give up :) keep steeming, keep rockin :D

Thanks for the thoughtful reply @roldamn! It put such a huge smile on my face to hear that you found this post motivating. 😊

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

thanks @coruscate for noticing me :) i see you as an inspiration. Good luck to all :)

Always set your Rewards to 50/50. Never 100%.

Think first of what you can do for the community before you think of what the community can do for you. This is the way forward. Thanks and congrat

Great words of wisdom @dtwo! Focusing on building the community first and foremost is a great way to see success in the long run.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

its wanderfull that you pass a long time in steem. wish your next journy will be very happy and pleasur all the best. @coruscate

To say the truth, the money is a big part of motivation for making people join the community but just like every craft in life, anybody who must succeed must do the things neccesary to have success of which patience, determination, knowledge, maintaining relationship and talent all have a role to play. Develop your self on this things and you are sure to make it on this platform. Thanks and congrats on your new milestone

Thanks for the great comments and piece of advice! I think you said it perfectly, many people come to the platform for the rewards, but in the end, it is really all about the community. Those who overlook that piece, usually don’t last very long.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Congratulation on your achievement.
Though i am still new but my advice is that we new steemers should take to good use all the advice given to use by the experienced steemers.
I am happy with you.

I'm still somewhat new to Steemit, but from what I've gathered so far, the best advice I could give to anyone is perseverance! The beginning might look like a steep mountain, but once you start climbing, don't stop and you'll reach your goal at some point, guarenteed! Just keep it up and don't give up!

LOVE this advice! Such a motivating comment for new users to read.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Always ❤️

My best advice, yes it can get frustrated in the beginning , but don't give up, that's for sure. Look around first until you get the idea what to blog, how to blog, so you won't end up 'trollibg' people, asking them to check you out.

Share your upvotes, regardless how many SP you have, sharing is definitely giving on this platform

Be kind, be sweet, be yourself, but most of all, be engaging toward the community in Steemit, the more you show yourself by exploring, commenting, upvoting, following and posting, the more you benefit.

And have fun, so many contests, so many challenges, so many ways to enjoy this platform

❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for tagging me pretty lady 😊

Updated: and of course CONGRATS for 1000!!!

Aww thank you for the lovely words my friend! Your regular support and encouragement means so much to me!

Thanks for offering such great advice to new users. I love your whole-hearted approach and how you encourage people to really engage with the community. ❤️

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Interesting girl. Upvoted and Resteemed by @cryptoryno33

Congratulation for this milestone ! M too just crossed 3000 !! Hope you will reach 2000 soon ! All the best !!

Wow...3000!! That’s a pretty amazing achievement!

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, but I really appreciate you taking the time to comment on this post!

Thank you so much my friend !

Lea!! Congratulations!! You truly deserve all the following!! You are a very talented/pretty/ thoughtful/kind/inspiring girl!! As s follower myself i gotta say seeing you perform on a daily basis gives us a lot of joy... and in my case... reminds me how much i love music... the way one of my favorite artists would! I am not surprised it only took you 6 months to get this far!! You got a lot of talent.

As a musician, your performances inspire me a lot too! so thank you for that.

Now, as a Steemit friend... i am honored to see my username on your post! It truly means a lot to me to see that you consider me a friend.. cuz i do consider you my friend too! ( crazy how this platform brings so many people together, isn’t it?) I wish i could go out for that beer with you ( i am sure a lot of us do!) .

This is only the beginning for you my friend!! You have a lot of success still coming your way! Here’s to all your achievements and to all that’s still to come! 🍻

On a different note... the best advice for anyone joining Steemit is... create.. create a lot!! But do it out of love.. whatever it is that you do.. do it because it means something to you... people will relate and appreciate your genuinety .

Also, make friends... tons of them.. see what others are doing and share your opinion, be kind and helpful whenever you get the opportunity to... there’s a lot of amazing and beautiful people on Steemit. You are missing out on making great friends if you don’t interact! You can learn a lot by doing that too!.

From Costa Rica i send you lots of love and a big hug!! I am so proud of you Lea!! 💕

Awww your comment made me smile from ear to ear!!

Thank you for all of your positive support and encouragement! Maybe one day we will get to grab that beer after all! I hope to make it to steemfest this year, unless it is really expensive for me to fly there. :-)

Thanks for providing such great advice to new users! Your line about posting with love really resonated with me! It is such an important thing to think about! If you don’t love your content, why would anyone else? 😉

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

ahaha same here!! i would love to go!! (wherever it is they do it this time! ) i am so glad you liked the advice i gave.

No problem. i ´ve been gone for like 4 days.. and i feel like it´s been years!!!

The first thing i will tell all steemians is that when u fail , try again , for u are not a failure until you fail to try again , when i first joined steemit , i came for the momey , but as time goes on , i stayed for the community , what am trying to say is that when u get low payouts don't give up try again until you succeed.....

Beautifully put. Thank you so much for leaving this great piece of advice for new users!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Congratulations to @coruscate on your milestone...
My advice to all steemians esp. Newbies is that it can be frustrating at the beginning but please don't give up,there are many people willing to help us grow so we just have to discover them...choose a section that you can really relate with, comment and interact with senior steemians in that section...there are many freebies in the giveaway and contest section grab them!!!
And to the senior steemians don't forget to keep helping the newbies..
Above all let us all be original and authentic!!!!

This is really nice advice

Thanks fam!!!

Thanks for the great advice @rashford! Great tips for new users to find tags that they are interested in, and then get to know people in that space.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

The most important advice one can hear I think, is that no matter how much success you receive, always remember that it was possible because of your hard work and perseverance, but also due to the help and support of others.

It takes talent and the strongest of wills, but even with all of this, no one makes it without lots of additional help. So when we have success, we have an obligation to help others who have the same amount of drive and desire as we have. In other words, we must always reach back and pull others up.

Actions like these change the world for the better and allow there to be a continuous link that ensures that those who have wonderful things to contribute get the opportunity. For those who do reach back, you gain confirmation that your success was not just chance, it was for a higher purpose and this propels you to be even greater.

This has been my experience in life and I live by it every day. It has and continues to serve me well.

Thanks for listening. God bless you and I wish you continued success. And I look forward to you having 10,000 followers and soaring like an Eagle.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment and great piece of advice! Appreciating the support of others and being willing to show that same support others is such a great way to approach not only Steemit , but life in general! You’ve got a good head on your shoulders, and I’m glad to have met you through this post!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

First I say congratulations on reaching a thousand followers. Now unto the advice

Perseverance, commitment and hardwork is the key to achieving greatness on steemit. Even though I'm struggling myself, i believe that one day I'll be able to celebrate an achievement just like @coruscate, so let's keep pushing forward.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment! I know it can seem hard in the beginning, but if you follow your own advice of perseverance, commitment and hard work, you will do well!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Awesome! I wonder how long it will take me to reach 1000 followers. Hope it does not take years.

I have a piece of advise to share. Whoever reads this, remember that I am still a newbie who has not yet reached 100 followers but I still have something unique to share because my situation when I joined Steemit a few weeks back was different from most. I broke my right elbow (working arm) right around the time I got my registration approved.

As a result, I had to postpone all my plans for Steemit. I could not create detailed posts with just my left arm, so I started commenting and participating in discussions and almost all my followers have been obtained that way along with all my earnings meagre though they are.

You have to remember, that whatever I have achieved till now is with a very inconvenient handicap. So if you are new here, start commenting even if you are not able to start posting much right away. Commenting helps you connect with fellow Steemians and gets you going.

Hope this helps at least some of you.

Mark, I’m so sorry to hear about your arm! I can appreciate your positive attitude through it all, and learning to take a different approach. Thanks for providing some great advice to new users here. Getting to know others and commenting on their posts is such a great approach.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Sure, take your time no worries. But you got my name wrong 😂 lolz

Here is my best advice for new steemers!
1: Dont over resteem posts! they hide your content on your page!
2: Post atleast 3 or 4 times a day :) But dont over do it!
3:Only vote on content you like.. your vote counts even if you're new!
4: Only follow people youre genuinely interested on! :) Dont want to have your feed flooded with stuff you may not like!
5: Dont come in steemit thinking you will make millions! It takes time.. be active and meet new people! Post in the introduceyourself tag! Greet other new steemers and you will grow a following!

6: Have fun!

Those are my personal tips :)

This is such a solid list of advice! I especially liked the parts about not re-steering too much, and only following people because you enjoy their content.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Thank you!
It's something i learned over my time here on steemit since Sept.

It's fine! a contest like this would get so much traffic! SO its expected :) Take your time :)

To all new steemians,i will like to let u know that here on steemit there's possibility that u get low payouts at first but don't be discouraged for better days are coming , and also try to enjoy your stay on steemit , ppst with passion , post in the aspect you love most for better days are coming.....

My best advice is to keep challenging yourself!

Try something new that maybe scared you before, but can help you to be more clear or creative or sociable!

There are always so many challenges going on on Steemit! Find something new and "just do it!"

Great advice @homescoolkidz! Getting out of your comfort zone and try new things is usually the first step to something great happening. 😊

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Everyone has their own hobby and the talented skill they are passionate for, what's really good about Steemit is we get to chance to explore more ourself to share & learn from others, and also able to make some talented & common passionate friends, sometime we mind learned something news by what we are passionate for while sharing with others. I understand sometime we mind be frusfrated from the beginning by learning something new to us and trying to done it step by step, but when things do not go your way, remember that every challenge and every adversity, contains within it the seeds of opportunity and growth. So we should not afraid to get out our own comfort zone and together we learn something news.

Always believe in yourself and always stretch yourself beyond your limits. Your life is worth a lot more than you think because you are capable of accomplishing more than you know. You have more potential than you think, but you will never know your full potential unless you keep challenging yourself and pushing beyond your own self imposed limits.

Dream big, stay humble and together we grow!!

Such an inspirational piece of advice! I love you encouragement to dream bag!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

No worries, take your time and keep it up!

My advice: Be original, be detailed and be promising..
Congratulations though

My, see the ukulele queen, that shout of happiness had melted my heart, what can I say, you're talented, highly inspired, you don't just pksy the instrument, you're an amazing dancer, and last post when you came first place in your dance proved it,

You have made a positive impact here, and this milestone is amazing, I'm so happy for all the accomplishment @coruscate.

And for advice, I'd like new users who cannot create content should make use of their talent embedded in them to soar, steemit is not money making mschine, so people must know they have to give to also get back and I advise them to be steadfast and continue, no matter what even if the upvotes are not coming, don't ever cheat, don't be lazy, put in the best performance, and wait for success

Congratulations my dear, you made it!!!

Thank you so much for the sweet comment! It made me smile from ear to ear!

Your comments about perseverance and hard work are spot on! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave such great words of wisdom for new users.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Congratulations! That is quite a milestone!
My advice would be to not focus on getting money and just use the site like you would a personal blog. Put thought into your posts, “this is really cool” doesn’t really cut it.
Try to put out content YOU would want to see.

Great advice @squares! I really appreciate you taking the time to share these words of wisdom with new users!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Congratulations!!! On achieving a millenial follower base on Steemit.
It's actually 1,001 followers now because I just followed you.
Hmm...newbies
The early phase on Steem is never a swift easy sail but you need to keep pushing. See it as a business you nurture and watch grow over time.
Do not give up on Steemit infact, celebrate every cents and dollars you earn no matter how little. If you can not earn a dime for first three post, keep the spirit alive.
When you happy doing that which makes you happy; do more of it.

Socialize more often on Steem too...
Create a great follower base
Do not make money your number 1 priority on Steemit. When you socialize daily, the money will come pretty soon!!!
Congrats! Once more @coruscate more followers to come

Thanks for taking the time to offer such great pieces of advice! Socializing on Steemit and persevering are such great things to talk about when someone is just getting started!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

I am fairly new to steemit, so I'm probably the one that needs the advice!

The best advice I can give is to not get demotivated, and continue posting and putting meaningful and quality content out there.

Interact with the people who comment or like your posts, and build relationships. Don't focus so much on the rewards, but on building a community and having fun.

Good things take time, and if you put the time in good things will come.

Congrats on your milestone!

Thanks for contributing such great advice! Even if you are near to the platform, you are still able to share your experiences of others. :-)

You really nailed it with all of your tips as well. Posting quality content and engaging with others in a meaningful way are some of the most important things one can do on here. :-)

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Most people get on steemit because they wanted to earn easily, but when they see it's not that easy they try to quit, my advice, persrvere, keep on going and one day it'll definitely get easier.

Thank you for the great comment and piece of advice! Perseverance is definitely key to succeeding here on the platform. :-) I appreciate you taking the time to enter the contest and share with us!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

My advice would be : join some discord channels related to your community, people on steem help others with pleasure, and discord is a nice free way to reach them.

Thanks so much for the great piece of advice! This is actually something that I need to do more of those while! I have spent most my time directly on Steemify, but I know there’s a lot of value in getting to know people in more casual settings like discord.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

My advice is simple.
Don’t Dream it.
Steemit!

Hahah LOVE it! Now I want to frame that and put it up on my wall! 😉

Sorry that I am so late in responding, but I really appreciate you taking the time to comment on my post!

Lol! Totally forgot about this :) glad you like it!! Let me know if you need any other clever sayings I’ll probably instantly forget about :)

Haha deal. Next time I need a witty slogan, I’ll hit you up. 😉

My advice is, "do engagements with your posts' comments as many as possible!"

@coruscate 1000 is just the start i want you to reach a milion! You deserve it because you are so talanted and inspiring! The only advice that i can give you is something like a request as well! There it is:
Please stay awesome!!!

Aww you’re a piece of advice seriously made me smile! Thank you so much for all of your support and encouragement along the way!

@coruscate you are the one making people smile not me!

My advice? Take everyone's advice with a grain of salt, and make all the mistakes you can to find your own voice, because the reality is, no one can show you how to find what's only uniquely yours to find. There's no mistakes on that path anyway. So well done @coruscate on all you success here on Steemit and "mistakes" too. Ive got plenty to learn from people like yourself on this one of life's amazing rides.

Honestly, the best piece of advice about steemit, dtube and dlive I can give is, don't do it to make money or to become famous do it for you because you enjoy it and you're having fun! being you and having fun will attract followers!

Do not expect quick money. Build your reputation with quality posts and comments. Do not post someone else's content and not Spam. Be polite and good-natured. Eventually you will have followers and upvotes

My advice to all Steemians, new or old, is to attack this platform with Maximum Enthusiasm! We've got an incredible opportunity to improve our lives; by making money, by forming relationships, by helping others and by creating an environment that everyone can enjoy.

Maximum Enthusiasm for Steem!

Congratulations......
New beginners, they should not come for the money alone but also stay for the community.

I'm too new to give any advice, I'm still completely lost. It's good to see that people like me do figure things out and can do well. A post like this one is helping me though - https://steemit.com/steemit/@steemladder/a-thumb-rule-for-steemit-minnows-50-100-200-25

Congratulations on your followers. I'm still on 94 followers hahaha.. Well for me the guide to every newbie on steemit is quite simple..

Despite the whole advise about determination and being original, it doesn't help if one isn't determined and consistent... I almost gave up on steemit a few days back but if not for the little determination of hoping to become a whale someday I'd have left already.. I also had hope that every next post I'd post would yield a better reward hence consistency... And also one more tip comment truthfully on posts you actually feel connected to and not spamming because of upvotes..

Come for the money, stay for the community

Happy for you for passing the 1000 mark! still working on it myself

always give love and love will come coz love is all around :D

I would tell new users to not be afraid to branch out of their comfort zone! Part of that is having to be genuine with every interaction you have. Too many new users that we've been getting are just spamming the same garbage on every post without even taking the time to look at the photo posted or the text written.

You don't have to be the expert in EVERY field out there, but just show a natural curiosity to learn new things. That is one of the best parts about Steemit, even if you aren't an expert in something, someone on here is and is willing to show you what they know! Don't be afraid to just go in the new tab and see what other users are saying and doing, they don't have to be a whale for you to want to interact with them!

LOVE this piece of advice @snrm! The ability to try new things even if they scare us, is one of the best parts of Steemit. This community is so supportive, that it feels like a really a safe environment to try something new. You make a really great point about mentorship as well. There are many people on the platform he would be more than willing to share knowledge and help each other out.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

No worries! You got so many responses I don't blame you!

Be honest and good content will take you far beyond you can imagine. Cheers!

Be yourself, get to know other Steemians and share your work!

My advice to every steemians out there, especially to the newbies although am also a newbie is that whatsoever you post on Steemit should be very creative, educative, inspiring, thoughtful and when posting try not to be a copycat, be yourself, be positive and try not to always think of getting many upvotes, just dont think about it, just post and get on with your life and you shall reap your reward.
I Welcome
Keep on steeming..

Congratulation.
My best steemit advise is for all steemians to state cool, think for a better hope , feel the vibe of the community and hope for a better tomorrow.

Wish you all the best @coruscate.
Success is not all about successing from a failure but trying from failing after a failure

congratulations beautiful @coruscate.
My advice to all is that this is the means for which, personally, to find the essence of oneself, that everything you need is alive and full in life, not everything is money that exports all the potential we have within from one of us and the steemit community and its people have the ability to motivate you to do what you never imagined doing.
With a little support and inspiration we are able to be in everything.

Good Lord! Someone asking me to post my best advice. For those that don't spend time around me in my daily life, you know this could get scary, but here goes:

Be yourself. Yes, a common and seemingly conception but most try too hard on occassion. Try and just type out as if you were actually speaking. You will find yourself working to think of things and focusing to REALLY put forth some effort. What seems so simple could indeed be a challenge to the most prolific blogger/steemian.

Thanks for the great advice @cryptobeans! It didn’t get scary at all. 😉

I like how you took the “Just be yourself” advice to a new level by giving an actionable way to think about writing.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Steemit is not a fair platform.

If it was fair, everyone would get a few cents a day in payout.

If you want to get ahead in Steemit AND in life, then stop playing fair.

My advice to new steemians is to take it easy. Things take a little time. Don't get involved in whale wars cos you have too much to lose if you get flagged. Always try to be original that's the idea of the platform. Make new friends and think less about the money that way you would enjoy your time here.
My name is @kamalkennedy in case you have any questions.
Congrats @coruscate for the milestone you have achieved.

Congrats on the milestone... Fun contest too! You do a great job of putting out fun content so keep it up!

Such an awesome milestone, you deserve it! Would love to meet a bunch of other Steemians at the upcoming Steemfest.

My number one advice: Don't give up. Persevere. It'll probably be a long road until you get some money or followers, but the journey is so worth it.

Here is my best advice for new steemers!

1.pls give your original post

2.I recommended to give only 1-2 post a day

3.Pls respect other steemians

4.If you are new bee,pls give upvotes bellow 10 post, then only you maintain your steem power and brandthwidth also.

  1. Join discord groups, hear you get lot of information and support also

  2. Hear you give your talent, then only you teach your goal.

7.pls be active

8.You give lot of comments then only recognize hear

9.Be participate contest ,hear we earn a lot

  1. Don't live as a selfish pls support all members.

11Use bidding bots but be careful about it

Enjoy your self.

My entry to this contest is quite easy, my advice is to be yourself as the platform is made for the people who are truly positive and libertarians as finding hate is rare... Post anything you want mate if you are new as this community is part of the blockchain (Be careful though, after a week they can't be deleted or edited!) and there is no way you are going to get deleted or censored (The only way I can come up with is if a whale downvotes you!). Be persistent as with time you will get more followers and feedback for your posts, as this is quite hard especially if you work a lot for a post and only a few observe it (HAPPENS TO ME ALL THE TIME, WHILE ONE PERSON WAKES UP TO A REALITY OR ENJOYS MY CONTENT I AM HAPPY!). My last piece of advice is that you should not get in this platform for the money, as getting paid is great but I really believe that Steemit is really a movement! You have free expression in here not like in other social media platforms, do not spam content creators with dumb comments if you didn't read a post! My last advice is to check other people's content to know more people, as you will be more popular! I love you guys, great video! :D

Be totally truly you. Do you. Rest will follow

Such great advice @hors! Thank you for contributing your thoughts to this post!

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Your challenge was added to Steemit Contest Compilation (29.01-04.02): Win free SBD and STEEM for current week.

Thank you @coruscate for giving Steemians (especially minnows) a chance to get free SBD.

My advice is support a contest by upvoting and resteem even if you are not participating to that contest because here in steemit not all the user can earn by posting, many of the steemians are only depending on the contest. I salute every steemians that hosting a contest!

My biggest advice is to do what you like. Find a topic with which you feel comfortable and happy talking about him. Try to lock your posts, they are beautiful, readable and dynamic. And it is authentic. Copy is not good, try to show your own personality and make content on your own. I hope you join this great meal and be happy. 👍 😎💖💖

Congrats on a thousand achievement... it's a huge something!

My Advice to New steemians

I nearly gave on steemit when I was making the $0.00... But something kept me going, a contact I met who was a medical student

He said, Hey ezinwakelvin I'm a medical student in austria and you are one in Nigeria. .. Can we keep contact, I would like to know how things are in Nigeria. And since then, he has been an awesome brother.

What am i saying?, steemit is not only about the cash, relationships matter, and to get good relationship, create nice content... be original and watch your flag fly..

Be original and watch your flag fly

Keep blogging, keep being original amd never forget the contests..Steemit allows you to be you!

A very big congratulations on reaching the milestone. I don't know how to speak grammar but I will keep it simple. I'm 30days old on steemit and have notice few things since I joined, one of the things is minnows are having problem making waves on steemit and I don't seems to understand why. They do not get what much on their post because they only have minnows like them as friends, the dolphin and whales won't help expect you pay them certain amount of sbd. They're few whales who give free upvote but it not quite easy to get their attention because of the number of post on steemit everyday.......my little suggestions is it will be really amazing if the dolphins and whales on steemit can support the minnows to help them grow. That what I have observed in the past 30days of my staying on steemit.

Well mu steemit advise is we should scrutinise what we post on this platform this goes out to both new and existing members its better to take a whole day or two even a week to post good and quality stuffs that use an hour just to post junk and substandard contents. We should always post great stuffs at all times not a well packaged junk littering the platform. This is my candid steemit advise.

You're such a star! Keep on rockin' Steemit, sister. My advice for Steemians is this: Pursue your passions. The achievement of creating a great post is a reward in itself! Steemit invites us all to search inside ourselves, find the passions that drive us, and bring these passions into the spotlight. I see it all the time in the Steemit Open Mic, and elsewhere: When we share what's on our hearts–this is where the magic happens!

Congratulations @coruscate, I hope some day I'd be able to do this too. My steemit advice especially to the newbies, I know money is the motivation for most people joining steemit but it shouldn't. The hard truth is that you won't start making big money when you start. Be patient and keep making posts and videos of the things you love. Try to socialize and don't be too shy to ask questions especially when you're lost.

Congratulations on all of your followers and thanks for the contest. I am now a new follower of yours i wish you the best luck on your journey and i hope the steemit community takes good care of you. Your doing great dont change a thing just be you
As a new steemian myself i would say my advice would be to just work hard and be yourself, but also see steemit as a chance to share your story with others and be a part of something that is bigger then yourself because its not just about you its about the community and the people in it. Also dont ever give up its going to take time and hard work nothing in this life comes easy its not just handed to you, so put your best foot forward and move onward and upward keep your head up and dont let haters bring you down to their level, try your best at all of your post and engage with the community in a positive way if you do this people should start to find you and respect you.

My steemit to new users are;

  • Don't make it about the money, or else you find yourself quitting without even starting.
  • Never stop writing even if your posts have no audience persistency and consistency is key.
  • Always write original contents and spread a good information in your posts.
  • Comment like a lot but do not spam nor beg for upvotes.
  • Join discord and steemit chat and meet with other top users.
  • Always read through good posts to learn their markdown styling and see how they do it.
Thanks i hope i win this contest even though these are the rules i still follow as a new user.

First of all, congrats! My advise is that be patient and work regularly!

Wow amazing...congratulation

Congratulations on your milestone!<3
I think the key of being successful here is perseverance! So please, don't give up, in the end everything will be okay!

Great to see someone being grateful to the platform, nowdays other acts are being adopted instead of being thankful.
May joy fill your life.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful response. Being grateful to the platform and the opportunities it provides is absolutely paramount. ❤️

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

Congratulations @coruscate, quite the achievement.

am happy for you @coruscate
its what you have work hard for you deserve it.

Currently I am super busy and I can't create/engage with others, I am using Steemit mostly to read news about crypto and from time to time I participate in contests, but in my opinion, to be successful here you need to don't give up and have a little luck!

My advice goes to the new steemians, never give up, find out about new contests and attempt those that suit your passion following @artz would greatly help he sends out weekly contests. The community is made up of great minds like @coruscate you would never regret joining this community. Wishing you best of luck.

congrats! really glad to see how successful this platform is and the success of others.

I will quote myself from "Steemit slogans" post:

Come for the rewards. Stay for the community.

As beginner or minnow you only think about earnings. When people hear about Steemit they think like this "Look at all these people who earn a lot from Steemit, why we can't do it, let's earn some steem".

But after only a month of using Steemit network they experience something new. Something they could only dream on other social networks. Their work become rewarded, community is the best one, people are friendly. That could be positive addictive.

My advice for users on steemit especially new users is to focus on being part of the community as opposed to how to make money. If you can help improve someone's life in a way this then your contribution is worthwhile.

With patience, some investment and discipline you can also can improve your skills on content production and grow your followers and over time will likely be rewarded for this.

Further advice is don't invest into SBD or Steem with money you need for something else. You should try to save a rainy day fund before investing in new technologies such as this, so that you are more secure if you needed money in a hurry in the case of an accident of an unexpected payment you have to make.

Furthermore the price of SBD and Steem is volatile like many crypto currencies so by investing the price can go down. Also on Steemit.com if you increase your voting power by powering up your steem, you can only get the full amount of this back over the next 13 weeks in 13 payments. If you needed the amount of Steem back for example in full in 8 weeks then you shouldn't power up. So be careful about investments and be prepared for a long term view on this technology.

My advice for new users on steemit or DTube @coruscate, will be to start with their introduction post, and to upload or post about their interests or life. It is amazing to know about other steemians! I also advice new users to look up channels and topics that they like, so they can upvote happy to new friends on Steemit or DTube. :D

Great!

Congrats! Here's my advice for success of Steemit:

Develop your skills! Use Steemit as a push to continually grow, expand and to try new things. Whether you're a musician, writer, or artist, continually push yourself to develop your skills by seeking out new contests, posting frequently, and focusing on how to share more of your talents with others on this platform.

If you're consistent and continue to grow and develop your passions, you'll have success not just on Steemit, but all through life :)

DONT SETTLE FOR LESS WHEN YOU CAN DO MORE

There's nothing wrong with being a clerk, a street sweeper, a labourer or a messenger. There is absolutely nothing wrong in living in a tent. What matters is whether we are living our lives on purpose. Your purpose is the reason why you were born.

If you are called to be an employer of labour and you end up as an employee something is wrong. Something is wrong if you see a bird walking instead of flying or a lion begging for food in the jungle.

Don't settle for less when you can do more. If you can walk a 100 kilometers and you end up walking only 20 kilometers, you are using only twenty percent of your potential.

Don't be a pigeon if you were born to be an eagle.

Many people are performing below their capacity because they don't know they can do more. They don't know they can have more. Don't settle for crumbs when you can have the loaf. You don't have to continue to live in ignorance.

Some settle for less because of fear. For example, the fear of failure. They don't have the courage to try those things that can make their life better. At the end of the day they end up accomplishing nothing.

Don't settle for less when you can do more. Some people will never amount to anything in life because of laziness. They are too lazy to even eat their food. Good things will always pass them by. These cannot help but attract poverty. Don't settle for pennies when you can amass fortunes.

Remove the garment of mediocrity and move ahead to be all that you were meant to be. The world will no doubt move ahead without you but why deny the world of who you are? Why deny it of your meaningful contributions? Why deny yourself a place among the great? You can do far better than this. Don't settle for less when you can do more.

1 Be moderate
2 Be Consistent
3 Honor/Thank people
4 upvote/reply well
5 Try Contests
6 Be Unique

8 Tag well/tag wisely
9 Do Creative Topics

Advice: Post what you like but learn something new also.

Discover yourself, every person excels in one or the other. Once you truly understand what interests you, start making quality content & practice, repeat, learn. This will make your journey much easier on Steemit.

Thanks for providing some great advice! I love that you mention every person has their own unique gifts and talents. Discovering that will only help to improve the quality of content we have on Steemit.

(Ps... sorry it’s took me so long to catch up on all the responses! I will be doing a drawing for the winner and will post the results later tonight! )

wow, I feel totally praised for your mention, I really enjoy watching your videos and reading your content, since you are a clear example of effort and hard work. I must add that this idea of sharing beers would be great if we did not find ourselves in totally remote parts.😂

- Advice and recommendations to the new Stemians -

  • As a main recommendation, I have to take seriously our activity in Steemit and educate ourselves about the platform. Beyond that, we should investigate the blogger culture regarding the presentation, writing, markdown, design and animation that converge within the ecosystem in order to enrich our content.

  • Being always cordial and grateful with our readers can encourage a healthier activity and add many more friends to our credit, something that will benefit us in multiple ways.

  • Lose the fear of showing your content your art and your perspective. On the platform there are all kinds of wonderful people who can be interested in your material.

  • Finally I have to mention that we should have fun while we educate ourselves as a result of the exercise within the site. Certainly Steemit is a unique and extensive social network, but only time and practice will be the tools that will make us improve day by day.

Again I want to thank @coruscate and wish him the best of luck in the realization of his future plans. congratulations for this new achievement, I send you a hug from Venezuela.

Greetings to all!!

🚀

Congrats! :)
My advice is: to enjoy the journey, but keep an eye out for the time spent on steemit. If you have money in the center, it will not work long term. Be yourself, write about things you are passionate about, find the communities where you like to hang out and ENJOY. It's a great place to grow and share, don't let the $ sign ruin it, it's just a bonus feature :) Connect, live, love, create!!! :)

My best advice to steemians is to be persistent and creative. You don't know which post will give you the upvote you clamour for. Just keep being creative and keep steeming, the margic post will come someday and possibly not the the post you hoped on. It as a life principle and it works everywhere, even on steemit.

Hi @coruscate, Congrats on your milestone achievements! and your winning the First Place on that recent dance competition. That’s so awesome! You Go Girl!

Here's my advice that I dedicated especially to Newbies:

Break The Ice by participating in easy challenges and contests and have Lots of Fun:

Rules
  • Grumpy Cat Compliant: Don’t go and hit the wall unnecessarily, before using any bots, please check the bot tracker tool by @yababmatt here https://steembottracker.com/. Max post-age rules are 3.5 days.
  • Cheetah Bot: Always remember to put your source link for your images and contents if you are taking them from other sources. Don't let him visit you okay, it's demoralizing when you just started here.
Voting power and Steemit Honour Board

Always remember that alone you will never achieve your success here. You need to post good contents, participate, engage and be as charming as you can. Nobody likes to talk to an empty wall that is not responding to people's comments. A charming attitude and respect for the in-house rules will carry you all the way through. My followers now 1.8k+ and my hope to be the famous Steemian who promotes kindness and positivity here. My best wishes always, have resteeme and upvoted

The best advice i can give to minnows and newbies to steemit is to keep on pushing on. When i first started steeming, it was a struggle because not only could i not get up to $0.02 upvote, i could not get my posts to the right audience as i had a problem using tags and following the right people. But ever since i had contact with the right persons, (one of them being @surpassinggoogle) my life changed totally as i begun to see steemit from a new angle.

It was not just a place to post and earn but also a very big and helpful community. Then i began posting not looking at the amount of upvotes i got, suddenly people who have some influence on steemit began to notice me.

My piece of advice to you steemians is to work hand in hand with this great platform, do not look at what you are earning but look at what impact you are making through your posts and develop yourself on the platform. (remember original work is the best post you can create, do not always copy and paste)
