Where Does The Intrinsic Value Of Gold Come From? [Quitting Smoking Day 13] - D00k13 Digest #373

in dtube •  6 years ago

What up my Steemians, welcome to the @D00k13 Digest, today while heading out the door writing my #freewrite on gold I started thinking "where the intrinsic value of it come from?" and thinking back to all I have read leaves me with more questions than answers!

It is one of those things that we have seemingly lost the history of! How did we start refining it? Why is there no recorded history of its discovery or first use? Where does it come from in the first place? The thought leads me back to the first records of history that are still being disputed and the conclusions made by Zecharia Sitchin of the sumerians refining it for the Annunaki, the intrinsic value is not of our own making!

Day 13 quitting smoking feeling kinda blah I figure because of my slip the other day combined with trying not to use my nicotine patch. Day 30 #seven77, I made it a month guys!!!

Life definitely has more questions than answers! I often wonder if maybe humanity is just asking the wrong questions to get the answers they desire LOL

I’m doing all right so far, still fighting with the cough but overall I’m feeling pretty good and still sticking to quitting smoking. How’s your day treating you?

Good stuff! Don't give in to those cigarettes, I quit 15 years ago and it's one of the best things I ever did. As far as gold... I love it! I'm a gold prospector here in California so I have a lot of fun digging for it. But I don't think it has any intrinsic value on it's own. I see all value as subjective value. If no one wanted gold it would be worthless. Gold has value to people because it fulfills some type of need that they have. As to the historic origins of this valuation of gold, I don't know but I think we know very little about history and I agree that things like Egypt pose huge questions. I also find the theories about the Annunaki to be quite fascinating.
