Do You Post Your Content Elsewhere? How's That Going For You? - @D00k13 Digest #392

in dtube •  6 years ago

What up my Steemians, welcome to the @D00k13 Digest, I have been posting my videos on YouTube as of late as a means of promoting Steem off chain and have not gotten much of a response over all. The response I did get recently wasn't very good, mainly tossing FUD around.

This situation leads me to wanting to ask a couple questions...

  • Do you post your content outside of Steem?
  • How is that going for you?

Seems like many people are willing to get on board with casting of doubt when it's merely situational circumstances they are drawing conclusions from. Always gotta remind myself that these individuals are often just being monkeys, monkey see monkey do! It's just sad that so many do not understand the concept of decentralization.

Let me know what your thoughts in the comments down below!?

That's It @D00k13 OUT!!!

I post it on a few different other sites like youtube, deviantart and some others. I haven't earned anything from the sites though and the engagement is not as great as it is here on Steem. So happy I found Steem lol :)

Yea dude I started here so maybe my view of outside platforms is skewed a little but it has almost been a self defeating experience 😅

It’s pretty intense how vastly different each platforms experience is, Steem seems unique in being so community driven.

Thanks for stopping in my friend 🙌

No man, I know exactly what you mean. I’ve created over 100 drawing videos on YouTube that haven’t earned anything yet. The requirements you have to meet before you earn create a large barrier. It’s why I’m not as motivated to keep posting on there often.

Yea those requirements for monetization really do put a damper on getting noticed! I am basically just using it as a form of promotion for Steem as I mention it in nearly every video 😅

I like steem the best then minds then bitchute and finally youtube. With all the algorithms youtube is a dead inorganic platform for any kind of engagement. It is a good backup system for when dtube wipes your videos but thats about it.

I hear you, haven’t tried minds or bitchute yet plan too here shortly.... youtube definitely suppresses a lot of content relevant to its crypto competition!

See I don’t face the issue of my videos being not playable, they still disappear from the channel but if you come across my videos on Steem they will play forever!

LONG LIVE #OneLoveDTube!!!!

rep 73! my my @d00k13 you have outdone yourself lol.

Been away for a while, personal issues. What did I miss?

Hey yea I hadn’t even noticed that lmao thanks for pointing it out! I’ll have to do a video about that tomorrow 😅

What did you miss.... not much but everything at the same time 😝 onelove has new graphics to match the new DTube graphics... we are starting to put together a resource kit for easy linking of all the various things people way need help searching for... Seems we are pushing to promote Steem on other platforms with initiatives rewarding the efforts

Glad to hear from yea, hope all is well for now?

i post my videos on youtube and its in pathetic state
too much competition
its good around here
only niche people

Yea it’s a platform and seems to be worth the effort if just for the sake of what if... but seems like a fruitless effort for me... anyways I consider it doing my part!

We are very lucky with the community the blossoms within all of Steem, things like #OneLoveDTube wouldn’t exist without such support for community efforts.

Yes, I am uploading on Youtube. It is working... it took me about 2 years to understand how it works...

And if you want to know more, please subscribe to my channel and buy my video course. 😂

And hm Facebook well, Facebook works as long as you are willing to pay them :) I hate it!! But Youtube is fair in some ways!

Ps. If you are getting lots of shitty comments on Youtube, it is because you have the wrong audience.

Sry forgot to reply to your video.😂 Yes, people think it is a Scam. But to be honest, it is for now. Small communities are upvoting each other, and the worst part good content is not getting any upvotes... And nobody will ever find the videos, content on Steemit, Dtube, etc.

I download my videos from my Youtube channel and upload them on Dtube because I do believe in the platform, and I hope that if some beauty blogger sees my videos, they will join as well.

Youtube is fair! If you are putting lots of effort in your videos, they will be rewarded. After 2 years I am starting to make money with it, and it grows every day! Views, subscribers, earning...

I still have my links under my Youtube videos, but nobody in the beauty community is interested in it. Why? Because it is too complicated, nobody spends hours researching how it works to get 0 money out of it. It needs some kind of "connect with Facebook" or Gmail whatsoever... Otherwise, it will be doomed in the long run.

I am not talking about it on my channel (for now). Because I am still not sure what it is... I recommended it to a few friends they joined the platform but left after a few weeks because nobody was interested ☹️

I hear you seems dependant on the content you posting there, no ones really interested in my lower end ramblings it seems.

As for buying your course yea wanna give me a freebie lesson?

I stay away from Facebook mostly but do post to Instagram and Twitter, fairly good responses there!

Still trying to figure out how to find an audience... that’s one place I have always struggled but also I tend to not know what I want to create day by day anyways so... 🤦‍♂️

Soon we will see a YouTube share option on DTube I think will interest you!

I do seriously agree the biggest issue facing Steem is the complexity, I think some simplified version would do much better at user retention. I have had the same response with those I try support and on board, they drop out because it’s far to much effort. I have much to learn myself even after a year and the explosion of dapps doesn’t make it any easier 😅

Thanks for sharing, truly appreciate your honesty.
