This is a cute video from December of 2011 showing Mamakirbs ( @findingjoy ) talking about her favorite farm animals. Silkie Chickens!
These fluffy pillows with feet really are loads of fun to hang out with. If you have time to hold them and talk to them they become accustomed to coming to you by their names. It's kinda weird to think of a chicken as a pet, but they really can be a great addition to the family!
Now, 7 years later, @findingjoy still loves her Silkie's. In fact she is working on raising up some new chicks to improve the genetics on the farm so we can become more serious about breeding them.
