It is said that the average Roman solider was paid the equal of one silver dime a day. From this he paid for his upkeep of himself and his family. So figure your expected live span and expenses and save accordingly. For me 20 years. 365 X 20 = 7300 dimes. Thats $730 face or 522 oz. Stack more if you want to live better then a Roman solider.
