Christmas is a bit of a big deal back home in Scotland. The only time of the year pretty much guaranteed to get the family together. So its always nice to do something to celebrate.
Living in Vietnam, Tet is the main holiday celebrated in February. Christmas is typically not celebrated, certainly not like back home.
So not wanting to spend Christmas in my apartment, a trip was in order.
Ho Tram is a charming coastal town only a few hours drive from Ho Chi Minh City. So last minute, I decided to spend Christmas there. Arriving on Christmas Eve, it was a beautiful night with a colourful sunset sky. That didn't last.
Bad news for us, a typhoon Tembin was forecast to hit southern Vietnam. So Christmas day we had to leave early morning and get back to Ho Chi Minh City before the storm hit.
A very windy drive back to the city and Christmas ended up being in the apartment 😂
Christmas dinner... Dominos. Like a boss!
Keep it real
Derek
