That sounds like a pretty amazing school. I think much western education is missing that rounded education. Some beautiful art there, you are very talented.
It is very saddening to see the pain in the world and feel helpless to stop it. Unfortunately, much is outside of our control. I agree, at can be a great way to try and express feelings and even the frustration of not being able to stop pain. I hope you start creating again soon.
