The Completely Unimportant, Little-known List of Misconceptions about Wealth Inequality

in dtube •  5 years ago

Just the tip... of the non-existent iceberg. Some not so important things about some of the biggest debates in our times. There are some seriously great research links below, also.

How data on income inequality often misses key components to the argument at hand.
How data tells a different story depending on how much groups are broken into subgroups.
Evidence against the theory of continued white supremacy in the US that is consistently ignored or diminished in its importance.
Evidence against oppression being the cause of income inequality and less income for 'minorities', in light of the advancement of other minorities.
Researching backwards rather than forward without prior conclusions.
Can we experience life through data and reports, summarized with an agenda, rather than interacting with the world? Continued in Part 3. cliffhanger

As always, thank you for watching! Talk soon.

What a refreshing video really enjoyed this one it’s so true! But how many people are really going to take the time to absorb the research!

People want to be up in arms because they’re personally miserable and need a cause and external source to blame

There’s plenty of causes in the SJW realm to fight for and it’s all about making the numbers and research conform to the world view

The fact is populations are so darn large and dispersed and people have so much freedom of movement it’s hard to actually pin down research facts, these sampled data is easy to manipulate and then padded with various rhetoric to support claims

I’m all for bringing establishments to task for injustices but this doesn’t seem like constructive ways of doing so, all seems like a screaming match and now real solutions just this futile attempt at some sort of outcome equality

Solid comment. I think it's more about tearing others down than pulling others up.

You will never be a billionaire.
