I hope your day has been going well. Just got this vlog in on the way to work, well, before the journey. I am trying my best not to record in the car anymore. Today in this vlog I talk about the major take away I got from the voice announcement on June 1st. To me, that was KYC. At first I thought, " really, why!!?". But after listening to an interview with Dan Larimer and Brendan Blumer on a show called "everything EOS". I saw why they did this.
After hearing about another exit scam, this time by Magic Dice, I quickly realized how important KYC is for the future of any blockchain based platform. Many will bitch and moan but at the end of the day, I think even steem will need a KYC, just look at Blocktrades, they are taking steps to be ahead of the coming regulations. Do not be surprised if one day in the near future steem asks for your ID.

KYC is one of the hottest topics regarding the expectations of people dealing with Blockchain technology. Majority of the people in this industry love the aspect of the security of data and their personal identitity. Although we all aware of the fact there there are so many bots and AI accounts that work in platforms especially in the ones which are nearly left by the users, KYC should never be seen as the only way.
Whatsoever happens, there has to be found new ways to prove that you are not a bot and you really exist on the earth.
As Blockchain industry is not accepted by the most of the countries as legal or suitable to be regulated, the people dealing with the things about the blockchain will always hesitate to reveal themselves. Until a world-wide acceptable regulation, personally I will always be reluctant to share my identity.

Good point. There must be a new way to prove identity. But most people in the space have already given over their identity to exchanges they use. A YouTubed was wondering if Voice would use biometrics but that just as bad as handing over your ID.
That worldwide regulation is coming soon. It seems the SEC knows more about crypto than we thought. Interesting times we live in. It is good to be in the depths of the revolution.

I hate KYC, I very Lucy do. But it is inevitable and very crucial to moderate a lot of things before they berserk.
I don't like it, I don't want it, but I understand it's function and realize how important it is.
Never knew magic dice did the same on other platforms. If it's true it's just so sad.

Yeah I don’t like it either. But I see it coming up on steem sooner or later.
Not sure if it was magic dice but the same format of a dice game has been making its rounds across the DApp blocks. They are open source so very easy to copy and implement.
