What's going on fellow steemians?

It was a family Saturday for me here is Japan. Went to the play park so the twins could drain some energy. Then while the fam was eating ice-cream ( well twins were, wifey was just watching them) I went into a Japanese secondhand shop to just look around. These types of shops are quite common here and are actually big business. when I first came here I found it strange because in Jamaica, there are no such things.

These shops are quite interesting actually, while browsing around I thought ( hmm let me show my fellow steemians what these stores are like in Japan. The video is long, ( about 10 mins long, feel free to skim through) but some interesting insight for anyone to view. You name it, it can be found at the second hand shop in Japan. Enjoy!

Question: Are there used goods shops in your country? ( Americans and Canadians, we all known the answer lol)

There are a lot of second hand shops in Finland where it is super popular and considered chic to buy at them. Its marked often with a flea market, cafe and a tailor all under the same roof. One shop has existed since the 70s and another in a railway station.

Holy shhhhh that's a lot of stuff in there. You can often find some hidden jewels in a second hand shop. I work at one here in the usa that you are probably familiar with.. goodwill 💯🌜

Right ! Too much stuff , it’s kinda overwhelming! I saw a couple things I thought could be flipped but who knows lol! Ah yeah I know Goodwill , if that were here it would do well ( actually bringing the American stuff here as well as the brand lol)

And so you left without even encountering what you wanted in the first place. Typical. 😂

We have a few second hand shops around here but they're usually tiny and specialised. There's nothing like that huge space, that's for sure.

I entered a few of those shops while I was in Tokyo and I didn't realize they were second hand items. My lack of Japanese didn't help. Ahahaha. 😉

Had no intentions to buy , was just looking if anything caught my eye lol

Yeah the shops are massive ! A bit too much , specialized makes sense.

Some good finds in Tokyo for resellers , can’t bother with the research hassle though. Hmm might look for some secondhand sex dolls and post them on eBay 🤣

Wow it’s a huge second hand shop!!! I’m guessing people in japan look after their stuff really well so it’s worth getting stuff second hand and for a good price!!

Indeed the Japanese do take care of their stuff and the shops do a thorough check , so the secondhand shops still kinda pricey !
