Like The Desert Miss The Rain - Ed Privat

Hey Dtube!

It's amazing how many videos I recorded last year.
I made the commitment to live off Steemit in 2018 and It quite didn't pay off, but it doesn't really matter, I have a lot of fond memories, and I learnt a lot about myself.,blogging, video editing, and how to stick to a schedule.

It really taught me how to wholeheartedly engage myself in my passion, and well, even if we starved some days, I realized how I could really reach my full potential, so it was a fantastic experience for that matter.

Now a year later, I take what I learnt from that year and apply it in my everyday life, learning how to be efficient.
Of course, having a third child coming up made me understand that I can't just rely on my music, it's just not enough for now, but I am pretty sure that in a close future I will be able to do so, especially when moving to France.
Every day here in South Africa I get reminded how easy life is in other countries, it's safe to say that this country made me tough as a nail, and resilient/
I am stronger physically and mentally and pretty much ready for whatever. I actually reach a level of work ethic that is nearly OCD, and it's a good thing.
You can't be that happy-go-lucky dude for too long, you gotta commit and learn how to structure your life if you wanna reach higher highs.

This is "Like The Desert Miss The Rain" or "Missing" an awesome song from the nineties by a band called Everything But The Girl.

Missing
Everything but the Girl

I step off the train
I'm walking down your street again
And past your door, but you don't live there anymore
It's years since you've been there
Now you've disappeared somewhere, like outer space
You've found some better place
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
Could you be dead?
You always were two steps ahead, of everyone
We'd walk behind while you would run
I look up at your house
And I can almost hear you shout down to me
Where I always used to be
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
Back on the train, I ask why did I come again?
Can I confess, I've been hanging round your old address?
And the years have proved
To offer, nothing since you've moved
You're long gone, but I can't move on
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you
I step off the train
I'm walking down your street again
And past your door, I guess you don't live there anymore
It's years since you've been there
And now you've disappeared somewhere, like outer space
You've found some better place
And I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you, yeah
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you, and I miss you
Like the deserts miss the rain
And I miss you, yeah
Like the deserts miss the rain
The deserts miss the rain
Like the deserts miss the rain
Like the deserts miss the rain
Like the deserts miss the rain

I agree. For years I had no idea what the name of the song was. Finally last year I found it and recorded it!

Sounds great! Nice looping and layering. Love your voice! I'd love to do a collab.

Beautiful song @edprivat and you are right, life in South Africa is not easy and it makes people enduring difficulties!

I will miss lots things here, but life is better somewhere else for sure!

Awesome sounds, your all songs are a lot like me Because you express the reality through your song ..

Great read, sir. You sure are comfortable with that something 30, RC30, 🤔 something like that. One of those songs you can’t not sing—good job.
