The New York Mets took on the AL Central leading Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.
In a game that featured some poor defense early on for the Twins, the Mets were able to prevail.
Michael Conforto had 4 hits while Robinson Cano drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.
Stephen Matz started for the Mets and went four innings. This meant 5 innings were required out of the much battered Mets' bull pen.
Tuesday saw them get 15 outs without giving up a run. The 9th inning was testy for Edwin Diaz who loaded the bases before getting Nelson Cruz to foul out to end the game.
This puts the Mets 3-1 on the current 9 game road trip.
