Part of what I like about the Steem blockchain is to see it grow and develop over time.
First, it was just steemit.com but now there are a lot of different projects.
And the blockchain is only 18 months old!
One of the projects I follow is Dtube. Decentralize Video.
They just released a new version. Here.
They redid the website and it looks awesome. The videos also load a lot faster and there is a new player.

fantastic post my friend, wow i really like the new version of dtube, well i watch your video and man i runs perfectly fine and smooth no pauses and no breaks the other cool thing is that we can also able to watch you previously uploaded videos too in case if we miss one or we want to catch up a old video we can easily get an access to it and wow they now added a speed up feature too we can watch the video in 2x speed now and we can also watch it at 0.25x speed wow that's also cool, you are right my friend the new d.tube looks absolutely awesome and it's a fantastic development indeed and yes this is the perfect platform for SMT too, i hope they will use SMT after the launch, enjoy your week ahead my friend and thanks for sharing

It sure looks better, already gaining lots of attention amongst youtubers as an alternative. Talking about the steem blcockchain, it’s growth potential is gradually becoming overwhelming, a block chain is valuable when lots of sub-technologies adopts it, and Steem has got lots of exciting projects. Really good appearance...I think Dtube will be overall more appealing to creators than YouTube. Not relying on Google ads will be the most appealing thing! People powered value is what all creators want behind them.

App implementation is very important if they want to reach the masses, can't wait for it ! Even steemit's app is a little wonky at times.

That facelift is much needed. Now to test their upload features because I've been having trouble with getting uploaded videos to post lately. As they work out the kinks, dtube is going overrun youtube simply because of the steem blockchain that changes the way payments are made.

Yeah I like dtube from day 1, never uploaded a vid to youtube but with steemit I wanted to share some nice vids... so dyube come exactly at the right moment... people who are complaining don't knwo the impact if you launch such a tool.. youtube was also not build in 1 day..

Hi @exyle, Thanks for the update. I'm planning to start making video tutorials for minnows. At this stage, I can't afford using DTube because they charge 18% of the total post earnings. However, as soon as I grow a little bit more, I will give it a try. Great post.

I don't know...I have posted at a dozen or so sites over the years and D Tube is by far the worst. I would not even call it the worst. I would call it unusable. It seems the only vids that function are the bitcoin promo vids like this.
