Cool, no problem mate! Fractals tend to be the kind of thing you go gaga for, like me or just like looking. They are like an addiction to me!
Keep poking around and you will find that style or niche that makes you go gaga for!

Well I guess the one thing that really probably turns me off most about learning about fractals is just not understanding anything about any of the numbers, menu or scripts. I looked at some youtube tutorials but they weren't of much help.

I'd love to understand the entire process of what everything means and how the numbers effect it in order to understand how to possibly get certain looks.

I found these images today and thought they were badass!

The c-jr account has some amazing stuff though..even with the mandelbulb stuff..it does look awesome.. I can see stuff like Mandelbulb/Jwildfire being absolutely great in addition to photoshop or 3d software to create concept art and environments.

Yeah, I understand about your not being comfortable with the numbers thing.
I was the same, but you can do what I did when I first started. Use the sliders and move them to the extremes + and -, that's how I got familiar with it.
Anyway, I don't want to pressure you into something, I know there's many other art forms you will be comfortable with.
By the way, here's my profile on DA - https://7thdwarf.deviantart.com
