What was the first schism in the Bible? Why?!?

This is a video

Since the beginning of the modern church there has always been something that separates people. Is it possible that the first thing that we can claim as a schism is in genesis. Do we have differences all the way back to the beginning? I hope you enjoy this video. I live doing it in one take so it is raw, and you will know my heart.

Hi Freedompoint: I see you believe as fact what you read about the creation of the universe as seen through the eyes of man 6,000 years ago or something like that. Basically it is a parable about the creation of the earth, and it has a value just as the parables quoted by Jesus have. Very important meanings, but not scientific truth. Rev. George Lamaitre came up with what actually happened by looking at how things are today and asking why. When you consider how mathematical the universe is you realise how very logical God is, not just logical but loving also. The point about the logic of the universe is how if any one of his laws of nature were even one millionth out of true then we would not exist. That is how our lives should be, correct down to the last millionth. OK, we are human, but we should always go back to the origin, Jesus. So what did Jesus say and do. The orthodox/catholic argument was to say the least obtuse, in fact, unbelievably so. In the beginning was the Word, and so in the beginning was the Holy Spirit and the Father. However they came to us in a particular order, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. But does that actually matter? What matters is that Christ died for us so that we could be redeemed. Free will means that we actually have to choose that, and choosing isn't simply an act of will, it is following to the best of our ability what was set out for us by Jesus.
Time for church now so I have to get ready.

Man, that is great @frinders! I wish i could upvote more. I appreciate your input, and i am glad you have put serious thought into what you believe. That is my goal! To help bring about thought! In hopes thay we all think more about everything we think we know.

The first historical schism in Christianity is between the Catholics and Orthodox Christianity. It is good research to look into. The best person is talk to a Orthodox Christian.

Yes @greenbeans! I have had wonderful conversations with many different perspectives. Speaking more topically...what might be "first". Something in the beginning perhaps? Not so much what the first structured difference is. I love to think about this!

Actually you are wrong....

I don't want to get into an argument about this but I will encourage you to go to an Orthodox church and engage with the fathers there. The practice of Orthodox Christianity or Eastern Christianity is very much different then Modern Christianity which is from the Historical Schism that was started by the Catholic priest. Even some of the interpretation from the bible is VERY different and mistakenly wrong sadly to say.

When in doubt I always go back to the source which is asking an Orthodox father in this situation.

Orthodox Christianity does NOT teach you dogmas. They teach to experience God through their practice, which is what believes works but NOT the only way to connecting with God.

I suggest you read the "Christ the Eternal Tao" (pronounced Dao.)

Ok. I am not sure how an idea that would encourage people to think could be labeled as wrong. I didn't say anything as a fact, just an idea. To drop that I am wrong seems...out of place. Thank you for your comment though.
