My dear friend and spiritual brother;

I can see why you liked my work so much. <3 We think and believe a lot a like!

My friend, I think what you are doing is also leading by example. You are near the top of this platform. You are the 1% and instead of letting greed grip you, you are using your influence to help others. This is honourable. I would also say that you did not succumb to usury either which speaks to your character, intent and spiritual desire to grow as an individual. There are some on here that cannot claim that. I respect you for the choices that you have been making.

Actions speak louder than words and you are a spiritual being of action. That is what excites me most. I too am here for relationships and I agree that this work has made a connection that I want to spend more time to foster and encourage.

I have no idea where this relationship will lead us all. I also expect highs and lows through that journey. Mistakes will be made. What will determine whether we get through this all is our capacity to be patient, resolve conflict and how we govern ourselves.

Each individual is responsible for their own actions and inaction. Let this team lead by example. May others witness what is going on here and may we start to influence others on how to self-govern and act in honour while helping those who struggle or are less fortunate.

We cannot change others, so we will lead by example. We will influence others and set the high standards upon which people will govern themselves on this platform.

This is yet another example of how people can self-govern and it brings hope and faith that we can do it without a centralized authority! Thank you for leading by example. I look forward to working on our relationship. I really like what I heard tonight. I am proud to call you a friend and moved to tears that you were quoting something I said ... even though you messed it up in the delivery! lol I forgive you. hahaha

I am proud to call you a friend and moved to tears that you were quoting something I said ... even though you messed it up in the delivery!

LOL, I knew I wasn't going to get it right, but the message was more important than the delivery. And yes, we definitely do think alike and see eye-to-eye on a lot of things. I can already feel the synergy picking up on this platform b/c of like-minded individuals.

What will determine whether we get through this all is our capacity to be patient, resolve conflict and how we govern ourselves.

That reminds me of the following verse in the good book:

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.

Proverbs 16:32

Thank you again for being on the STEEM blockchain my spiritual brother and may we learn and grow together.

A warming response @wwf, I see you as being a factor in FTGs decision to decentralize his stake and also provide fantastic encouragement to confirm this selfless path his is taking.

Best wishes to you.

That is a very generous gesture! Congrats on being on of the GREATS in Steem Land.

I love this initiative, and you've made some excellent choices :)

On a smaller scale, I'm also trying to delegate my available power to active members and up and coming authors.

Giving is infinitely better than receiving!

Much respect @fulltimegeek

Thank you @v4vapid! Glad to see this idea catching on.

Giving is infinitely better than receiving!

For me, giving is fun and addictive. I enjoy every moment of it.

Excellent to hear more SP distribution is happening, and I like the community area focus (even though I'm certainly not a budding author). Good luck, and if you need some numbers crunching I'd be happy to help.

Is it shameful if I ask you directly? I promise I won't let you down.

If you like we can chat on discord.

At the moment I'm not handing out any fresh delegations, I need to build up some additional sp first, I'll definitely take into consideration anyone who's actively engaged.

yes, giving is better than receiving..i am very proud when i got SP delegation from @fulltimegeek , so i can help any out there who have good content on art, it will be great if on future i got more ammo on me.

Wow admire such selfless service I won't fail to do same once I can

@v4vapid hey I am trying to create cc0/public domain licensed guitar lessons and much more. I am currently looking for SP and would love to chat on steem chat, same name, or discord TheFatKat. Thanks for your time!!

Excellent post and video.

awesome explanation man, THAT'S was what i wanted to hear about! you are doing an awesome job here on steemit and i see signs of you everywhere among the mortal steemians! keep it up!

Cheers to that!

Thank you for explaining your reasoning behind the delegation, it's much clearer to me now. Plenty of valid reasons for the approach, and the 'long game' were the words I was hoping to hear, and there they were, numerous times too.

Short game, sell your votes to MB, long game, engage and conquer with a team of stewards and have some fun with it too.

I didn't think about this 'less posting pressure' point, It sounds like you have more care, or concern for this place than many Orcas.

All good, steward abh12345 signing off. Peace!

After getting various requests to explain my reasoning behind delegating my SP away, I knew I had to make a video about it.

Short game, sell your votes to MB, long game, engage and conquer with a team of stewards and have some fun with it too.

The latter is going to be soo much fun! I already know.

It's much easier to do so with a list and a beer I guess!

I'm hoping we can make it a laugh and do some great things in Steemland at the same time.

Cheers!

I respect your choice, @fulltimegeek. It's been a while I came across your work. Good to know you are out to give. I still remember your gift in my early days here gave me the much encouragement to fight on. God bless you, bro. @greatness96

Thanks, and God bless you too :)

@fulltimeangel's been busy for a while I see <3 <3

Wow, @fulltimegeek, you have given me a lot to think about! First, this little plankton in the big pond of steemit is very humbled and grateful that you took notice. I have been so busy curating that I have not been able to post the kind of content that I want to. You are absolutely right when you say curating is hard work, but it is also gratifying.

You do realize that you have made a life long friend of this beaver? And because of your most generous gift to me, I in turn have made new long term friends across the globe! It is the most awesome gift of all.

It is better to give than to receive. What ever you give, returns to you ten fold. So if you offer friendship, guidance and knowledge, you will receive in kind 10 fold. I came to steemit, not to make boodles of money. I came to learn. To share. To give. Make awesome friends along the way. If you come here expecting massive bucks in the first month, then you are barking up the wrong tree.

Unlike you, I am not a mathematician, or a techie, or statistician. I don't do reports, grafts and analysis. I just write, take a few photos, share what little knowledge I have gained through life experience and curate. Nothing special.

I can't imagine you as a big bad ogre, flagging the spammers into oblivion even if they deserve it. But you are right that with great power comes great responsibility. And absolute power corrupts absolutely. Kudos to you for recognising this. So many don't.

It does level the playing field. I do know some newbies who do feel slighted when they get one or no votes. It is frustrating and disheartening. But they haven't learned yet, that they need to engage, read others posts, comment and upvote in order to gain some recognition.

I think I can understand that you have a little less pressure now that you don't have the steam power. But you should still give the best that you can be. That goes for all of us. Put the effort into what you do. It shows.

Thanks for the wonderful comment @cecicastor. You're a great example of how each individual is unique in their own way and provide a special service to the platform. I know you may not be a mathematician or technie, but what you bring is diversity and a loving attitude. Your engagement is also something not to scuff at.

Thanks, @fulltimegeek!

I’m watching your video after a stressful day at work laughing and thanking God for you. You are hilarious, my favorite line was I keep the case of Monday’s off the block chain! Love it, using it, gotta blog about it.

I also love the fact that you share your views as a whale with us. I don’t think most minnows realize whales are fish humans too, lol.

You understand your influence and SP can effect many users. Proud ya, can’t wait to meet you, what are your thoughts on coming on air Tuesday night next week 7pm est to chat more?

Yes, the camera stare with the 'you know who you are' gave me a laugh :D

He makes you want to vlog, doesn’t he?

You are hilarious, my favorite line was I keep the case of Monday’s off the block chain!

Glad I can make others laugh! Nothing relieves stress quicker than humor. I know how a whale/orca/dolphin having "a case of the Monday's", on the blockchain, can have the opposite effect so I try to discourage that behavior as much as possible.

what are your thoughts on coming on air Tuesday night next week 7pm est to chat more?

Due to a lot of life changes going on right now, I may have to postpone that for a future date. But, I do love the inititive b/c nothing beats verbal communication. Letters and words can only go so far in building relationships. I also need to get accustomed to this content creation process and being a "presenter." This is still super new to me and a bit awkward.

Well, your doing better than your giving yourself credit for. Plus, practice makes perfect, so I look forward to your next video. With ththat holidays around th corner, this is tough time for sure. I’ll keep you in loop In the meantime

I noticed two people on Steemit who really need our support:

@cryptopie - Amazing dude that have medical problems. He is posting daily about his troubles. His spirit never stop to amaze me. Please check him out.

@kida - Pedophile abuse victim which strated to post about it on Steemit not long ago. She is on mission exposing sick pedophile elites.

I think we all need to give them infinite support.

(Little bit off topic, but they deserve it) :)

Thank you @cmoljoe for bringing these steemians to my attention. I will surely check them out.

Please do because they deserve it.

Hi @cmoljoe

I have read through the blogs of @kida this morning and whilst not surprised by the reports of these rings, I was utterly shocked by her accounts, particularly the most recent post. I've not gathered any words to respond directly yet, but thank you for raising the profile of this account.

Yes, @kida really need our support.

Please, check @cryptopie also, he is amazing dude...the biggest inspiration I found on Steemit.

I'd imagine your name sums it up pretty well. It's a lot of work being a full time geek, without putting in that work you would risk losing your geek status. Nobody wants to be downgraded to a sometimes geek or to just that slightly odd guy.

The integrity of your name demands your full attention, curating non-stop just isn't feasible under that kind of pressure.

Lol ... yes, I must remain true to my name! Thanks for the laughs horseman.

After the stewards of gondor designations I thought you would have commented on the Tolkien-ness of my name, unless you never got around to reading the Silmarillion.

@fulltimegeek, great what you are doing for the community here :)
Have you ever though about delegating some power to @welcoming?
It's an account made for newbie curation nothing else. It will never selfvote. It will never vote the same user twice. It will never post. It will only curate and resteem promising newcomers.

You can find more details and the report for the first week here: https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@theaustrianguy/almost-200-manually-curated-introduction-posts-a-view-back-at-the-first-week-of-welcoming

Greets and thank you once again :)

I am a fan of your work with the @welcoming account @theaustrainguy, keep it up!

I support this too!

You help me a lot with my introduction post some days ago! Thanks!

@theaustrianguy
You are doing a good job
Supporting newbies is good, I also focus on that too and bring many newbies through my promotions
I think if we all have enough SP to upvote this newbies they will remain in the blockchain.

I'm delegating out 10K in 2018, to people in my home city.
Time to grow this place :)

Good man!

I see @v4vapid is focusing on the budding Steemit authors, and your approach sounds like another interesting method of decentralizing your stake. Nice!

@mattclarke
This will be great as more delegation goes into communities, experience becomes better as more people get rewarded through the delegation.

I'm loving the initiative!

It's one thing to build a community online, but also getting the locals involved is a freedom multiplier. You could easily trade steem/sbd for goods and services once they see the value of it.

Ah ha! I found the user's manual. You should really keep this in the glove box instead of the trunk.

About to watch your video, but wanted to share this graph with you.

2017-12-12-PayoutMedianPosts30-EN.png

Since you delegated to human curators, the median post payout has doubled.

You're having an impact, and proving that restoring the 'social' part of social media platform can create the market for Steem that investors depend on for returns.

I am not able to analyze the data myself, and link the two matters, median payouts and the delegations you established, solely due to temporal incidence.

Maybe you can better prove the two events are linked.

Thanks!

Edit: after watching your video, I think I am most impressed with your hankering for humility; a level playing field. You are people, and people are your people. I strongly relate to this. Kudos!

Wow, thank you! Humility is something I strive for. Thank you for taking notice and your kind words.

I will look into the data you provided to see if I can prove the events are linked. Not sure if I'll come up with any conclusive evidence though.

WoW! Awesome stuff @valued-customer!
And well said as always ; )
Kind regards Bruv!

Imgur

@fulltimegeek thanks for all the work that you are doing! you are right, I think that now you have a better relationship with the people that received the delegated SP.
@coincentrado is doing a good work in the spanish community with your SP!

Watching your video while typing this reply!
Its heart warming to see that you are doing this! I am 100% sure you picked the accounts you feel good about to delegate to! Spreading your power like this is marvelous for the platform in my opinion! And your reasons..... They are solid and so true!

Keep up the great work

Best wishes
Snekky

Thank you times a million! Good to know my vlog resonates with others so well.

That's quite a feat considering the fact that having steem power is the real deal well you've definitely redifined what being a whale is, you are a whale by heart by deeds and by truth I really didn't see curating at a different level now you've shown it's only the beginning
I'm happy for this initiative thank you from the bottom of my heart

Thank you also for being part of the steem revolution :)

I am so glad to be one of the chosen ones. I am having tons of fun with the Steem Power of yours. Your reasons for doing that are really great and I appreciate your perspective and honesty about it. That is exactly what I meant yesterday in regards to what kind of videos I would like to see from you.

Thanks for the comment recommending I make such video, b/c if it weren't for those pushes and nudges I probably wouldn't have made it. It's amazing how well vlogs work in building connections. Others should definitely start doing the same. I feel like I know you better than most people on this platform b/c of all the videos you've made.

Keep being awesome!

I am glad to hear that I made a dent. :)

I was wondering that :) This explanation clears that up. I thoughts you didn't like teams (guilds) :) lol I wish I could make another pitch though :)

I back at actively curating. Hope to get into stewards program one day.

That said let me get this post curated ;)

Great Work.jpeg

I thoughts you didn't like teams (guilds)

It's more about centralizing votes into one account that I don't like. I rather delegate to many than just one.

Hope to get into stewards program one day.

Just keep commenting, curating, engaging and being awesome b/c somebody is always watching ...

Dude! It is so so so good to give. In what EVER way you can. You delegating thousands of dollars is helping millions, over and over again!! The butterfly affect of giving is sooo powerful.
I understand the feeling you receive from giving.
Just like me giving up 15-30 minutes of my time at an acro meet up, to share my skills, in a big span of our perspective is nothing. Our little bit of work helps so many on so many levels.
... the effects are massive!
Sharing is the meaning of life ;)

The relationship building is a valuable part of every social media platform. Behind every username is a unique individual, not just a code. There is joy in giving, but surprisingly many would rather take than give. This had increased my faith in humanity. There are still some awesome human beings out there. Thanks for everything.

You done it @fulltimegeek.. it’s the video most of the steemian’s waiting for, from the day that you delegate the most valuable things in this platform, SP. Everyone wants to know that why you done that freely.. Big salute to you Sir for that wonderful heart..!

Much appreciated! I'm happy that this video was so well received.

Wow
@fulltimegeek It's great to know the reason behind your delegations
You are really doing a great job
I know one day I will make your steward list and will definitely do well with the delegated SP making it easier to reward more posts from newbies and communities.

You definitely have the potential to become a future steward! Thank you for the support and reaching out to the minnows/newbies.

Thanks for the warmly reply, will continue supporting newbies

You the man @fulltimegeek! Didn't know you made a program to check all that haha... will be using the delegation to great use to the community :)

Really cool, especially what you said about #2 on your agenda. Super motivational shit there at the end too :') :') :') Good job!

Thank youuuuuu soo much Lyndsay. Your support is always encouraging.

Having watched this, delegation makes more sense. Well done. Keep it going @fulltimegeek !!!

Thanks bro :) ... glad to see you're still steeming and didn't become a dead fish.

I'm really touched by all the good will that I see here on this platform. I'm so happy I found this place.

Can anyone tell me how to add a sound file (mp3) to a reply or an article?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks! Currently, only youtube links play on steemit ...

OK, Thank-you for the advice.

Running reports and seeing results in black and white is right up my alley.
I like to see concrete evidence, changes and comparisons. It's a tangible thing for me.

I shall keep providing them then :)

Thank you for this comment and the others you have left. Sorry, if I couldn't reply to all of them. I'm also happy to have you on the team!

AND thank you from the bottom of my heart for having me!
It has been a tremendously exciting honor!

you did good. MSP thanks you for choosing so many of our members!

Thanks!

@fulltimegeek hit me up on [email protected] I have a question for ya. Thanks and peace.

K buddy, will send you an email later today. Thanks for stopping by!

@fulltimegeek [email protected] is an alternate email addy. Just discovered I'm having a problem with the other one.

I think it's Amazing! Thanks for your support Bruv!

Imgur

Thanks mr.bacon! I got your txt btw ... hit me up via email b/c chatting on the phone is one of my least favorite activities on earth ...

Awesome man! I see that you are using Linux!!!
I heard about you through Lunchbox.

Love it bro, you are making a big difference, for whatever its worth i feel inspired...

I am still somewhat new to Steemit. I noticed a couple of days ago I lost some Steem Power. I had 14.5 in comma and about 7 outside the comma. Now I only have 8.3 in comma. How did I lose my Steem Power?

Also reviewing my Steemd.com I noticed that this person name Steem delegated me 8.275 instead of 14.5. Did I piss someone off?

You didn't piss anybody off. The steem account delegates to minnows so they don't hit their bandwidth limit. They probably brought your delegation down to half b/c of the steem price doubling, but that is just speculation. I'm not sure if the steem account takes your flags into consideration for downgrading your delegation ...

Thanks for clarifying this!

Really interesting point of view. Steemit and the world needs more people thinking this way. Saludos!!

I curse the whole lot of time (best part of 6 months now) that I have been here and still haven't found you until now. This is the first time I saw your profile and posts. I wish I had known you earlier and learned to be giving and generous. I guess I've done an okay job so far but a kind heart like yours is always a huge influence. I am truly glad to have found and followed you. Keep being amazing!

I haven't watched your video yet, but this sounds very interesting.

@originalworks

From now on, I will try to get scanned in your radar xD

Great that you support so many steemians. I just added another steemit promotion myself.
https://steemit.com/steemit-promotion/@rival/win-usd40-and-join-the-sports-team-challenge-steemit-promotion

Congratulations @fulltimegeek, this post is the forth most rewarded post (based on pending payouts) in the last 12 hours written by a Superhero or Legend account holder (accounts hold greater than 100 Mega Vests). The total number of posts by Superhero and Legend account holders during this period was 44 and the total pending payments to posts in these categories was $2254.96. If you do not wish to receive these messages in future, please reply stop to this comment.

A fresh insight, I have been slowly delegating due to people helping each other, that was the main reasoning behind my move toward this way of working in Steemit. Thanks for confirming my thoughts out loud, although I am no where near values you speak about every little bit helps to grow a society.

This helps to make blogging feel more like the blogging of 2010 where people took some time out to leave a comment and thank others for great helpful content.

I found you via @flauwy who spoke highly of your approach, tweaked my interest so here I am enjoying what you have put into motion due to convictions of your own.

Thanks to your initiave @stellabelle has delegated a bit of her SP to me! I have to thank you for that in an indirect way! Because of that I have been giving the chance to support members of my community more.

I hope you will inspire more people. Thank you very much bro.

I wish more whales would consider doing the same.

In addition to your points I would add that it is smart business from the point that I think it is beneficial for the health of the platform and therefore a good investment. IOW as you say the Stewards are doing much more work collectively curating than an individual could do. All of these many upvotes and comments all have a positive effect on other users on the site, so the goodness just multiplies.

Hello, @fulltimegeek,

Your man @stackin, just talked about you in his recent post, on how you are doing good for the community. This is really noble of you man.

I want to help in the community too. How can i help in the community?, i would have love to help in upvoting a lot of people but i still have a minnow steem power.

Thanks @yaanivapeji.

As a newbie that has very minimal idea of these "water creatures" & how they are portrayed on this Platform; I can see pure heart from you, which is often hard to find amongst the "cyber world". Thank You for shining some light on your beliefs. Bless up brother.

regards mr @fulltimegeek?

I didn't know anything about this, I'm just a plankton, I just hope to one day have a considerable voting power, in these 2 months I've learned with constancy and dedication you can have a good reward, I only want to write because I like it and at the same time that it's a help, for the difficult situation that is lived in my country. Thanks for those good posts.

wow, an amazing guy indeed, keep it up

Wow this is exceptional. I love what you trying to build i.e making people understand the need to work as a team

How do you give away the delegated steempower and not the steempower?
Beyond our comprehension how you have a negative balance in steempower delegation.
Plus, we still don't understand why delegation and steempowers are different??
So confused.

Delegating away most of your SP? Luckily for us you seem to be a heretic :) But I like what you are doing! You don't want all the attention but you know how to use it, just like a leader. The best communities are created when leaders channel their ego into their people and you are empowering so many of them! Thank you for what you are doing!

I really appreciate you delegated 1000 SP to me yesterday @fulltimegeek, my spiritual brother.

Your selfless giving reminds me of Philippians 8, especially verses 3-5:

3 Do nothing [c]from [d]selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; 4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. 5 Have this attitude [e]in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,

Thank you for being a testimony of our Lord by giving yourself away and touching so many lives. The seeds you planted will become 100 times or more. May our Lord continue to richly bless you in your walk with Him.

Please upvote my posts if you like it. I am trying hard but no luck so far.

Fucking amazing.

You're a fucking amazing person.

This is my first day on steemit and I am very excited! Your such a great and nice person! I more than appreciate all the help I can get! I am a strong believer in karma. I am following you and looking for your posts! All the best and please keep in touch! :)

I was actually reading @stackin post and I saw that he gave you a shout out. I see you from time to time flagging people's post and I was kind of afraid to even go near you back then, but I took the time to watch your video and you don't seem all that bad. I think it's a wonderful thing that your delegating some power to the smaller guys. You have my follow @fulltimegeek.

@raizel He's awesome, he only flags spams. I got one of the delegated steem power. Would still say the same thing without being a beneficiary.
