I was working in Vietnam for a few months and left, I have many friends who also left after working for a bit in Vietnam and all because in Vietnam you don't get the best salaries for English Teachers compared to other countries around like Japan, Korea or China. But, Vietnam is a great country to visit and explore, so if I was looking for a possibility to live there for a while and be able to travel around on weekends, I'd definitely consider getting a teaching job in Vietnam. You can expect to get 700-1000$ US a month teaching English there.
