Back in the hometown Wausau, WI for the New Years visiting family and friends. Some of these friends think it’s a fun idea to go snowshoeing in negative six-degree weather. I was game.
The skies clear, the air clean, the day cold. Icicles growing from eyelashes, we bundled up and ventured forth to the quarry where I spent days of my youth scrambling up rock walls, Rib Mt.
Here on these cliffs my aspirations for mountain summits were born.
