As a new user, this is great information to have. I would expect a slight "fee" but 25% is very excessive. I might just stick to youtube as well for now.

And FYI, I've been looking more and more into Dlive which is another video hosting platform on Steem and they charge 0% and allow you to upload prerecorded videos or do a live stream. So that is another option as well that I might be testing out. Anyways, thanks for the support!
