Define processed. Heating a tomato for example, is a process. By heating it, the lycopen will be more bioavailable, and in that case processing is positive. I understand what you mean, but the world is not black or white. Sometime food processing is good and sometimes not.

I think with processed food we were referring to packaged food, like the not naturally found in nature but manufactured, like for example fish fingers or pop tarts :)

Yeah I understood what you meant. I just reacted to the word "processed". Everything but rawfood is more or less processed :)
Pop tarts or deep fried foods are of course not healthy.

hi @gisi we watched your video and would like to make some comments
first in your pdf vegetables and fruits are carbs too therefore they shouldn't be separated from the column of carbs , cheese, milk and other stuff listed in the protein column have usually more fat than protein,we just want you to be aware that the world of nutrition is not binary and allowing people to be more flexible with there diet even if it means including some processed food if they don't go over their calorie intake of day is ok because this will helped them stay longer in there diets .

Thanks for your opinion but I don't fully agree with you. The pdf is a simple explanation to people who are not aware of food classifications to understand which foods fall under which category, and provide them with several options. Vegetables and fruits are indeed carbs, but I'd rather prioritise them with their own column to avoid confusing people to stop eating fruits and vegi as a way to reduce their carbs. We should promote more consumption of fruits/vegi, and if anything reduce other carb sources, because vegi and fruits are rich in micronutrients. Dairies are indeed rich in fats but rich in protein and probiotcs (yogurt & cheese) and once again if they would be classified as fats people would avoid them. My aim with that chart is to promote healthy and complete eating to people who want to improve their health, and as you have seen in my video the correct breakdown of micro/macro has been explained. People can of course balance their diet with healthy and unhealthy foods if they please, staying in a caloric deficit will make them lose weight but losing fat also requires attention to the macronutrient breakdown as I'm sure you are aware. On the other hand the average person looking to lose weight will indeed benefit from caloric deficit and diets such as fasting, carb cycling, ketosis and even the classic 6 meals a day plan.
The pdf is a great way to have a list of healthy foods to implement in their diets. Let's promote health!

@gisi i completly agree that we should promote micronutrients dense foods but telling to people to avoid processed food is simply impossible in your pdf you mention oils and cheese one of the most processed food in the market, nutrition shouldn't be classified as healthy or unhealthy because it's all a question of context, anyway i see that your intention is to help people and i encourage you to continue :)
