DIABETUS #2: Management and Systems

in dtube •  6 years ago

I'm showing a deeper look into how I'm going to proceed with new systems and managing my diabetes. Whole purpose of this is to start experimenting and exposing the bullshit information we've been fed. I'm blessed to have such an outlet and also the right tools to give you a new perspective.

Interesting that you don’t use long acting and only fast acting insulin. I would love to know how you manage without it, I don’t think I could... For your fast acting, what do you use? I take humalog.

Yeah, it's a bit challenging of course since I have no insurance(cost like 250-500) , I grab the walmart insulin "Novolin R" which is still made by Novo.

I've been pretty consistent in food and eating habits overall if I'm out of place then my mood is effected by it and its something that comes with a huge cost.

I'll explain more in my next videos. What would you like to hear more about?

Oh I definitely know about the cost! I also have no insurance. I'm just using Humalog that I've stockpiled from the Dr that he gave me as free samples.

I use Novolin N as a long acting insulin, can't beat the $25 price tag!

Have you ever used N with the R? If so, do you only use R because of better results? I've yet to use R as I haven't run out of humalog yet.

Curious also what kind of eating regimen you follow? I did keto for a while and it was really good for me, but I "fell off the wagon" and haven't really been able to get back on.

I did try it before many times and for some reason I can't tell if it gives me any difference in BG's.

I read some stories that people had similar experiences. I'm very sure Lantus or Tojue would come in handy right now.

I've been keto/Low carb for a few years with carbs as a supplementation and stimulation for hormones. I'll be posting more in-depth videos on that as well, recipes and to why I make certain choices.

Ahhhh! I definitely get results from the N, but I only take it at night before bed. Went to bed last night with blood sugar at 178, woke up at 74.

More keto content would be great! Love keto, I made a breakfast casserole last night and had some this morning with a slice of bacon and some almond milk with sugar free Hersheys syrup.

oh man u work from home? so cool :) great video man so informative and such a great insight in your life and schedules :) hit me up on discord for that video call

Yeah, that's one thing I love is my time :)

I'll hit you up!

what good content! Thanks to God and the evolution of science today, diabetes can be treated, and its patients lead a normal life ... it is always important to know the opinion of a doctor because much information is disseminated on the internet, which is not always true ... success!

Nice content, check out my channel!
