Regarding D.tube, which i consider a good place to start videos, or at least a very much better place than youtube:
There are still technical issues, for example the lack of performance of the IPFS network and the fact that all files on this file system network are only kept for a month or so, depending on the network structure at the time of the upload.
This is quite annoying, since who the heck wants to upload his video, knowing it will be unavailable after a few weeks.
On the other hand its nice, since you cant remove a video (from ipfs).
Otherwise i think the platform is a great place.
To Your Topic from the video:
I would expect your friends to be very similar to myself:
Basically to lazy to actually create video clips for here, or be it lack of time, lack of Energy at the end of a day.
It certainly is not hard to perform video editing. The very basic can be done on with the filming gear (mobile phone, camera) itself.
A very legally achived copy of professional Adobe Products can surely improve the result and give a lot more options.
That is out of discussion.., at least for people familliar with computers.
But most people are not so much familliar with computers. younger or elderly people. Id go as far as call it being illiterate, people never used a computer, and wont learn to.
@itspark yes I agree I think there are things that can be improved of course, such as notifications, or better upload, I have to compress my file before uploading etc.
And yes the basics can be performed without owning extra equipment, just with what you have at hand. Starting is hard, then keeping up with it also. But it's learning all the way :)
