Philippines during wet season - A different story Part II

in dtube •  5 years ago  (edited)

What occurred to me is how in the previous post I didn’t mention all the fun things from my visit to Philippines! When everything around us was so shocking and depressing, I enjoyed watching Parks and Recreation in our hotel room, drinking beer and eating all the unhealthy but satisfying food from the store and discussing all the observations about this place with Ivan.

It was fun enjoying the public transport!

Grabbing all the sweets from the store like a kid.

Eating like a king and feeling embarrassed when they took a photo of us :)

Making fun of chefs who think that kind of serving food is fancy.

Appreciating white and clean bed sheets :)

Being wet all the time!

And spending all Filipino money in Starbucks while waiting for our flight back to Singapore.

Looking back to this travel, it was fun and unusual. There is a lot to learn about the world and how people from all the different cultures live. Traveling very often means stepping out of the comfort zone.
