@jlsplatts, I love me some salmon. That is a lot of bacon, but it will be real tasty after it is smoked.

It was some salmon my dad caught a while back. I ended up making the bacon into jerky. It’s defiantly a great combo, bacon jerky. Oh ya

Love anything smoked. Having access to all different types of wood, we have smoked different fish and meats with cherry, walnut, apple, and maple chips.
Nothing like a little quiet time with the wife.
I have never cooked bacon on the grill. Is it in a pan or just on top of the grill. I'm surprised you don't end up with a situation like this with all of the fat dropping into the fire.

I use a pellet grill and I smoke it at 150F for quite a few hours. Then it becomes bacon jerky. With a little seasoning is tastes amazing!!! It is actual side pork so it hasn’t been cured. I will cook bacon on it when I am doing burgers. The drip pan in my Green Mountain Grill is solid so it can get down to the fire box. I have seen people do cakes, pizza, smoke cheese, jerky, you name it. They are expensive, unless you hit it right like I did. I picked up a floor model for about 1/2 price. 😉
