Personally I think the claim carries some weight.

HI EVERYONE

I have been working pretty hard these past couple of days editing this together, I sure hope you like it!

I didn't record any footage of us on any rides because, well, I wasn't in the mood to ride any - and our favorite rides were down anyway. (Space Mountain) Besides, we were a couple on a mission to spend gift cards we received at Christmas, which we used to get the following:

• An awesome Disneyland Spirit Jersey (seen in the video)
• A couple of limited edition collectible pins. (See the blow blog)
• Chinese New Year Celebration, Sip N' Savor Pass (See below)

In the interests of not making it too long (I was trying my hardest to keep the video to 10 minutes or less) I only filmed the parts in Disneyland up until we got the spirit jersey.

Packing For the Trip

One of Caroline's secret passions is vacation planning. Even if we're a week out from our trip I just know she is already thinking of what food to bring and how we can keep it fresh. Or what clothes we're going to wear and how we're going to pack them. She'll write checklists for herself and then make me go over them (even when I'm laying down and on the brink of sleep)

• Sun lotion - Check!
• Lip balm - Check!
• Deodorant - Check!

Caroline:

Ok, I think that's it.

Me:

Awesome, I can go back to sleep now?

Caroline:

Sure honey.

five minutes later

Caroline:

Do you think we should bring 2lbs of ice in case we want to take fruit?

Her passion is one of the reasons I love her

Hotel Room

There's one amazing thing about working for Marriott, and that's the employee discount!
We were to secure an incredible rate which is what truly makes these trips affordable.

We secured a nice little Delux King room at the Sheraton Park Hotel on the ground floor, one of their pet friendly rooms.

It has a patio which opens up to the parking lot (not the most ideal spot, but good since we have a dog.)

All in all, a pretty great hotel experience, I do recommend!

(Yes, in case you were wondering I recommend their Room Service.)

Collectible Pins

If there's one thing true about me it is that I am a nerd

I came to terms with this fact years ago. Does it bother me?

NO I love it! You could say it is my identity in a way.

These pins were $17.99 each and are parts of different collectible sets. As it turns out there is a thriving economy centered around these awesome little metal pins.

Some people make a living trading these.

This one is exclusive for Annual Pass holders and trades for close to $50 USD. That's a little over 3x profit if I were to sell, but I'm looking to collect the whole set.

I got the Stormtrooper because it looks awesome, I didn't check the trade value.

Chinese New Year

Disney is celebrating the Year of the Pig at Disney's California Adventure

To do so they are hosting a months long eating festival where you can sample various types of Asian style cuisine. I used the rest of our gift cards to buy an Annual Passholder exclusive

• The pass gets you access to 6 of the unique food samples located around the park. We decided to share each item.

Here are a few foods we were extremely privileged to try:
