PAL Net is kind of most discussed topic now a days on steem but let's see how far it can go . Time will tell us how much community is ready to accept it. 👍

i think it’s brilliant. the more i understand it. the better i feel about the direction of steem as a whole.

Easy is the key to get people to use a program to use. When you get to middle age you need to keep easy and simple.

Great show as always.

Great to hear Coin base. Is going to deal with PayPal for Canadians.

What age range I should concider as a "middle age"? Just wonder if this applies to me...

50 to 60 these days

Goshh, so I belong to ... dinosaurs? @65 (almost)

You and me both

Another great steemcast on the books. The middle age moment though...🤣😂🤣😂. I can't tell you how many times I have done that. Help us all!

I think PAL is great & has a lot of potential, but I agree. It needs to be broken down in simpler, non technical terms for users. It really isn't because any of us are "dumb." Sometimes, a lot of us don't have the time to deal with complicated platforms when we can easily use others like Steem. We can do what we need & want to do; then go on about our day. So, yes, this would be a big plus.

Coinbase is doing business with PayPal? Interesting. I saw this link today so I am curious if that is a factor as well. https://www.bloomberg.com/amp/news/articles/2019-06-11/crypto-exchanges-are-facing-biggest-regulatory-hurdle-yet?__twitter_impression=true

Thanks for keeping us all in the loop. Always enjoy watching you guys. 🙏💞😊

i’m starting to understand it much more. especially after reading that post i linked above.

I know that I said a few days ago that some of the show was the best, but this one was even better :) It was a struggle with PALnet, Paypal, middle-age issues and lot more... 🤣 (actually, I have no clue what I have to type for this emoji, but I stole it from @pixiepost copy/paste 🤣 aka middle-age issue )

Anyways... It's great stuff that there are more and more "traditional business" companies involved in blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. I know that "Paypal is the Devil" and that they are doing everything just to suck up as many fees that they can, but it's a step forward for crypto... and it's okay...

yeah. i had quite the moment on the show lol

and yup. they are evil. evil. evil. 👿

As long as I will posting for now, palnet will be one of my favourite tag to use

yup. once i started to understand it all. it got me pretty excited about the future.

I have read this Julia's post long ago. Yet 100s of questions remain. Maybe the top one is - WHY so many posts ( and comments), which I see have collected 10-15 or more upvotes from those, who do have staked PAL's - still are displaying 0.00 in rewards ????
This may be a the good example:
20190612_092636.png
Does this mean , there are only two options:
You attract atention from those moderators with 30000 PAL, and get your 1-3 PAL upvote, or.... you get completely NOTHING ? (If this is just a UI bug, what really happens behind the scenes? Are rewards lost, or not?)
WHY I have never ever seen a post with ~0.15PAL rewards? Does it means, if I upvote somebody with only my 5-10% upvoting power - such my upvote is completelly useless (PAL vise) ????
Does upvote reward amount depends on who has upvoted earlier? Like it is on steem ? Does my curation reward part depends on the voting power i have used ? And all at the same proportions aand algorithm as in steem? Does the first 15 minutes rule applies, as in steem?
I have been here all 6 days since PAL started, and seems every day i collect more new questions than i get new answers...

I think that's it...Not sure if an upvote will get fractional PAL...think it's just done in single digits...But from what I understand, the big thing is staking both PAL and STEEM...

The PAL curators with those big chunks, also have Steem staked....So that's why their PAL vote is so big...So I have 1300 or so PAL and 17,000 Steem...so my little vote I gave you on the comment....Wouldn't have been worth a full PAL...

I think lol

Lots of questions to answer for sure.

At one time I was thinking acct with 1000 staked PALs bings 1PAL reward if voting at full mana and voted at 100% power. Not sure though this is correct

I read it a day or two ago that you need over 3300 PAL to make upvote worth 1PAL...
And also, they have announced that they will add decimal places for PAL... so, there will be the possibility for upvote with 0.1PAL, for example...

Jon, there is no relation between the SP stake and the PAL stake when it comes to the vote worth. Other than the fact that the SP stake played a role in the size of the claimdrop. But even those PAL tokens could have been sold.

One can have 10 SP and 3300 staked PAL, if he wants, and his vote will be dust on Steem, but will be worth roughly 1 PAL on PalNet, right now.

The other way, one can have 50k SP and be an orca on Steem and have 0 staked PAL. His vote will be orca-sized on Steem and have no influence on PalNet.

The best way, if you believe in PalNet, is to have both SP stake and PAL stake.

Awesome show. Cheers:))

Don't be so hard on yourself man. I have no idea if it's because of middle age, but I also have some blackouts like those... Starting to say something then - all of a sudden -, Hmm, what was I saying?

Comes a little early for us, doesn't it? :) We should be old when this happens...

Jon, a little off topic, but on your SteemSavvy account posts, you should include a footer with the website and discord server as well. If I recommend @steemsavvy account, and not the website or the discord server, newcomers have to see everywhere what they should join.

Thank you so much for participating in the Partiko Delegation Plan Round 1! We really appreciate your support! As part of the delegation benefits, we just gave you a 3.00% upvote! Together, let’s change the world!

PAL is interesting but I still don’t see how these coins will have a value that I can sell later on to make some cash about it. but then again Steem is in a similar boat

good job.

Well I guess from discussion below I have just passed that middle aged category. As a Canadian I am signed up to ShakePay and can buy and sell crypto with fiat directly.
