I created a development plan for myself. I want to have a weekly growth rate of 1%. Do you think this is doable for the very long term? I'm monitoring my progress for the last 74 weeks, and I have an average weekly growth rate of 6.37%. If I can keep the 1% weekly rate, I will reach 50k SP by 13-Jul-25... Long road ahead, isn't it?

this stuff compounds. the 1% model works. i have used something similar in my life and i know how powerful it can be.
if we’re better at sunset than we were at sunrise. everyday. we can achieve anything and hit any goal.

Hi Jon, reached the goal of 177SP. My next step is reaching Plankton I and after it the 777SP which will rank me up to a Minnow.

While I know there is balance in the efforts we put into the ecosystem and what we get, I think it shod not only be measured in Steem and rewards. The experiences and engagement are even more rewarding at the moment which is undervalued by most but if we open our minds to the potential of this, we will realize how much we truly gain here every day by being active and engaging.

I think the 177SP initiative is great. Smart goals that press us but are attainable keep us moving.
What advice do you give to users who have already reached minnow status and are now setting their sights higher? Or for dolphins that are trying to balance time between developing relationships with power users and using their resources to help smaller accounts?

it seems super corny but i wrote my goals down. in january of 2018 i wrote down where i wanted to me by the end of the year.
and what happens is crazy.
everyday you work towards that goal. i can’t explain why it works but something gets put into your mind that no matter what. everyday. you will work towards that yearly goal.
helped me huge last year grow my steem power.

First of all i would like to thank to you for your episodes on ASK ME ANYTHING!! You solve the question and giving an answer to that its a great job. And i learn a from from you on STEEM platfrom .
So today my question is regarding nodes .How it can be beneficial to the person who is using blockchain for example if we deposit some money at bank and bank is giving us interest bank is able to give interest only because of they are giving that money to some other person who is looking for loans and additional they earn on interest on and the bank run their business . but in the terms of blockchain if suppose in proof of stake keep it a money at wallet and they are giving us some additional rewards as per your stake how do they able to give it ? And what is the beneficial for them to keep that money in a wallet and how it can help them so they are giving us additional rewards on it can you please advice?

wow big question. for my understanding a node is just a powerful server for the blockchain. not sure it directly has to do with investment unless you plan on operating one.
but the best thing about steem is that you actually earn interest from the way it’s set up for your steem power. this is a cool tool to see it literally go up every second.

Progressive goals are the best kind Jon. I will find an answer about the intermediary milestones (plankton III, plankton II, etc), though, as the threshold for dolphin, they are not fixed in terms of SP, we just put a nice round number there to be easier to remember, but the actual value fluctuates.

yeah my target was planned for dolphin status lol i had no idea what the level was. i just shot for 5k and did everything i could to get there.

not as much as i used to that’s for sure lolol
sold years ago when it hit $500. made a profit but should have held on. lessons learned.
i think it’ll go way higher in the future personally. 21 million of them ever so supply and demand.

I have tried not to bother you so much, but I can not seem to find the answer to this. On my wallet page under history, people leave messages to me, how do I answer them? It is probably something simple but ........ I am clueless .

you can’t really ‘reply’ directly to those. but you can comment on their blog when they post.
that’s how i do it :)
