Another way I measure my progress is participating on a number of leagues that have great metrics to measure engagement and curation efforts. It is not simple given that I am purchasing often but it helps!

I resonated with so much of this! As an experienced content creator like yourself, we always knew showing up & be consistent in daily posts or other content is crucial. I already have seen in a week what a fantastic community it is on Steemit. I haven't been this excited to create content in a long while.
For anyone just getting into this like myself, always be authentic & do what brings you joy. You don't have to do what everyone else is doing. That is the beauty of this platform - so much can be done. And the money is just icing on the cake.

It's learning by doing, I think. I never blogged before and when I started here at Steemit it had no idea what to write about. It's a steady process in the development of yourself. Especially when you want to write in a foreign language. But the more you write, the more you know what people might be interested in. Btw. it was you Jon, who brought me to Steemit. And tomorrow I will have my first anniversary. I hope I will find the passion to write about my journey here because of the funeral day of my Dad which is also tomorrow.

people attract by the content when they found the love and sincerity on it. Though there are others who only cared for those who is powerful but remember not all. Still lot of good people in the world, if you can't find one then be the one.
