MUSE WITH DTUBE:πŸ“πŸ“· QUESTIONS ABOUT DECENTRALISATION (Any negativities in the long run?

in dtube β€’Β  6 years agoΒ

Hello there, it's @Josediccus with the Third edition of "Muse with dtube" The most rampant kind of question in three days based on my stats has been a perceptions about people's misunderstanding of @ned's role when it comes to decentralisation of steemit and his role in the rise in the price of steem as a CEO.

It's obviously testing times and musing.io in my opinion is like an opinion box of many majority who seems to wonder what's the true advantage of decentralisation if @ned who's the CEO can't do anything to help steem.

I obviously have addressed this issue but I feel I can't adress this enough, a few people on musing.io are obviously ignorant of how decentralisation works and I'm using this opportunity to plead to concerned users here, I feel we need to......(Muse completely by watching video)

Thank you for watching

One should not be so quick to assume that decentralized always means better. Decentralized systems have no single point of failure which sounds good but what about for undesirable things? Lets say a supercomputer was created that starts destroying the world. There would be no single point of failure to stop it. It would require a collaborative effort. Perhaps some parties want the supercomputer to destroy the world and so they dont participate in stopping it. Decentralized systems also make it more difficult to make decisions. You have too many people contributing that you may end up in perpetual stalemates. Decentralized systems can give resposibility to people that dont want to be responsible. It also can make things less organized because without unity, people end up running around like headless chicken. Think about how a central authority like nathanmars helped unite this dtube platform. Before he came, this place was a free for all. Those or just some examples.

My point exactly, decentralisation isn't perfect agreed, infact acknowledging it makes us find loopholes to making it better, but my point is that it's got prospects

@josediccus, In my opinion, may be the Steem Economy is not the best and there are lot of flaws but that doesn't mean that we should blame someone or throw rapid questions to someone. Just look into outside world, do we got the opportunity like this one, means the opportunity which we got on Steem Economy, central systems never provided.

And if we have to make this Economy more Decentralised then we should not look towards one individual, if we are doing that then for sure we are making it Centralised, inturn we have to own this Blockchain, every individual have to own this Blockchain and have to bring out Initiatives which can add value and most importantly it can become more Decentralised this way. Stay blessed brother and keep up. πŸ™‚

You've exactly said it all buddy. Brilliant comment at least, I believe we must stop blaming @ned for everything and focus on working individualistically and also as a platform as well

That's true brother. Thank you so much and have a great time ahead πŸ™‚

I am glad that people are starting to remember that this place is decentralized. Hopefully people stop relying on ned and steemit inc to solve everything. The whole point is to realize that everyone has some kind of responsibility here (which some may not like) so that.means that me and you both have to do something if we dont like something about this blockchain.

Brilliantly said and spoken well, this is my point as well, we might as well help ned to with delegated responsibilites because the future is even better with the people here, more than with ned

Great topic to discuss 😊. If we see at the neds point of you then we can see a problem coming for Steem Inc but if we see at our point of view then we have many dapps to operate Steem. But obvious a help for ned is too necessary if we have to save official steemit inc. but I think that for us there's nothing to worry

I personally only see decentralized systems as a benefit, look at the success of torrents! People just need to get of their high horses and put their noses to the grind stone, no one person can move this Steem project forward alone.

Definitely, I believe people are not really taking time to look at how splendid and revolutionary decentralisation (though not perfect) can be, I've only seen negativities about it.

I always think of it this way, anything with such a mass disagreement without any real discussion as to the aspects of the situation is essentially exactly what needs to happen. People like to argue and nay say but even if it’s not Steem that makes it I’m betting it’s a even more decentralized system as we have a growing need for anticensorship.
