YOUTUBE DEMONETIZED! Divisionist Christianity and the End Times by Josh Peck

in dtube •  7 years ago

UPDATED INFORMATION INCLUDED! Before this video could reach 100 views, YouTube promptly demonetized it because of the word "Christian." Could the current social media culture of Christian trolling actually usher in the apocalypse? Is there a way it can be prevented? What do we do if we are confronted with one of these Divisionist Christians? What if we are one ourselves? Click on the image above to play the video (depending on browser, once you click you might have to give it a couple minutes before it will start playing).

The information provided in this video is a rough, basic, and bare-bones representation of what I will be presenting at the Blessed Hope 2017 conference in Norman, OK. I would love any and all feedback you are willing to provide. Commenting and letting me know your honest opinions can help me out greatly. Also please share this on your social media outlets. Thank you so much!

From Josh Peck: "YouTube instantly demonetized this video before it even hit 100 views. Big surprise. I guess I shouldn't have put the word "Christian" in it because, you know, it's offensive and advertisers wouldn't want to sully their good names by associating with it in any way. For me, it's not so much about the money (though there is an investment to create these videos, so demonetization makes it difficult for youtube creators to keep posting videos) but it is the way youtube chooses to run their company and put a limit on free speech. Of course, they can run their company any way they want, they can limit free speech and run their company into the ground if they choose, that's the beauty of capitalism. However, in the meantime between now and whenever a better Youtube alternative comes along, it is frustrating and frankly anti-American. They could just find some conservative advertisers to work with along with liberal ones (there are plenty out there) so everyone can post and benefit, but they have no interest in that. They've publicly admitted to stifling content like this. My channel, as well as many others, has suffered due to this because it's not only demonetization, but also not allowing it to show up in search engines, suggested videos, and other things. It's frustrating. Thank God for places like Steemit and DTube!"

I run a family oriented channel and recently YT is demonitizing every 3rd to 5th one of my videos because it is "not suitable for all audiences. I am afraid to talk about my faith at all anymore. Forget politics or any other "dangerous" topic these days.

My homemade soap making videos are considered not suitable and demonetized.

YT is sinking fast.

I can absolutely relate. My wife makes similar videos about healthy living and chemical-free products. Demonetized. My videos are a bit more edgy but are always family friendly, the only edginess comes in with the type of topics, but we keep our language clean and and do not say anything intrinsically offensive. However, youtube hates the beliefs, so they also get demonetized. It is ridiculous. You're absolutely right, Youtube is going down the drain.

Crazy isnt it? We live on a homestead and are trying to become self sufficient and off the grid. We are mostly off the grid already. We make daily videos of our lives. Clean, no cursing or bad language. Nothing at all that should be flagged.

I am starting to think they are filtering us out intentionally. You see all kinds of filth on YT. But the good, clean stuff gets blocked.

Yep. Unfortunately they are doing it intentionally. They have actually admitted it publicly and, while not covered on any MSM, the story was picked up by conservative publications and news sources. Anything Christian and/or conservative in nature, YouTube demonetizes and pushes it tot he bottom of search engines, so SEO is impossible. They also take it off of any suggested video lists. I have over 22,000 subscribers on my youtube channel but I am lucky if my videos break 1,000 views. I have a friend with half a million subs but he only gets a few thousand views per video now (he posts Christian content). Yet, as you pointed out, the filth, hate, and truly offensive videos show up on YouTube's trending list consistently. Fulfillment of Bible prophecy, I suppose: they call what is good evil and what is evil good.

At 60k subs I was getting 30k views a day across my channel. Now at over 100k subs I am down to 12k views a day across my channel. Yeah. I know what you mean.

I think your last line says it all.

This is incredible! @joshpeck

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the feedback and encouragement, take care and God bless!

Hi @joshpeck! A very informative post, I have a hard time hearing so I usually just read things including your comments on this post. It is ironic that I have been thinking about starting a youtube channel but have heard from other sources that the mainstream social media platforms, like their MSM brethren, view anything Christian and moral as worse than poison. I did not know they were demonetizing and pushing the content down tho...seems like they would worship at the alter of money so much they would like the revenue stream conservatives could bring them. Well, I am glad I found out about Dtube as an alternative, now to just get the Steem-based platforms to effectively compete and monetize their content!

Thank you so much for the feedback, and I totally agree with you

Loads of information. Many thanks. Love it. @joshpeck Followed
