We arrived in Thailand at 12 AM last night. By the time we got settle, it was 2 AM and we were ready for our first Steemit meetup in Bangkok, Thailand with @ramengirl @mayasiam @earworm @acromott and @threebagsfull! In this situation, jet lag totally played to our advantage.
I was so excited to meet @ramengirl and @mayasiam . Did you know that @mayasiam lives in Thailand!? It was so nice to meet another Steemanian! She was such a awesome host as she helped us order local Thai food. Watch the funny Dtube video of me and @acromott trying dry squid for the first time. Thanks @mayasiam for grabbing dry squid from a street food vendor! haha.

We ended up having awesome conversations and stayed up until 5 am before hitting the hay for the day! Of course, I'm up typing this post, at 7:40 AM because I still have massive jet lag. Today, we will be visiting the Grand Palace! I can't wait to see this beautiful temple. Until then, keep on Steeming my fellow Steemanians.

Oh and if you can, go take a Thai cooking class! If you do a whole day thing, they will even take you grocery shopping so that you know what to look for!

Aw man I just left Thailand, would have loved to meet some Steemians! I loved Bangkok and I can't wait to go back. Watch out for tuk tuk scams around the Grand Palace though, they'll try to tell you it's closed or tell you there's a sponsorship going on where they'll take you to two or three temples but the catch is that they also force you to go to a shop of their choosing which they call their "sponsor". I mean they offer the ride for about 40 baht or even cheaper if you are good at haggling and if you don't mind some guy trying to sell you a suit for 15 minutes, it's a cheap way to get around haha.

Hi Karensue. When is your next STEEMit meetup? I'm from Taiwan. Perhaps we could get more people together in a few months. I'm dying to meet people who use STEEMit but NOBODY IN TAIWAN uses it... that I know of. Thanks for sharing your meetup. It's great to have a community around a common passion.
