I'm so glad you talked about heightened energy and focus. I started keto because I have an 11 month old son and have not had great sleep for... yup, 11 months. Before having him (even during pregnancy), I was always a great sleeper. I think my great sleep was like a bandaid on the bad affects carbs had on my body. I'm 32 and have never "dieted," don't have any food allergies and have never been overweight. I never realized how much carbs affected me.

Then, after not getting great sleep for several months, the bandaid was finally off, and I was crashing every afternoon around 2 or 3pm and then the mental cloudiness began and got worse and worse. It was like my head was a medicine ball. I couldn't concentrate on anything...working was very difficult. And I think as a result of all of this (and being a new mom), I was extremely edgy and would get irritated easily, which also wasn't like me.

Then enter Keto! I've been keto for 3.5 months now and feel amazing. The energy and mental clarity are awesome and my productivity is way up. My sleep still sucks and probably will for many years, but I still feel good. I only get about 6 or 7 hours of sleep per day, but feel better than I did before I had my son.

Oh, and I had about 5 more pounds of baby weight to lose and that's long gone, along with 10 more! So that's pretty nice too. ;)

Thanks for the awesome content. It's really helped me transition to the keto diet - really, the production value on your vlogs and recipe videos and your live sessions is amazing and makes it so fun to watch your videos. I often put them on in the background while I cook or clean. It keeps me focused and gives me new ideas for experimenting on keto.

Keep up the great work and Happy 2018!

Hi happy i make it work new staff need to get use to it
Thank you

These are awesome videos. And it is fair to point out that when you go keto, don't give up, nor jump between all the time. Your gut is gonna fight back every time you are changing what you eat.

You're cool. Follow me back.

I started doing keto to lose weight, but I'm making it a permanent change because of how much better I feel. The weightloss is nice, but the best thing I get from keto is better sleep and less depressive episodes and stress.

I definitely agree that the mental/emotional effects come on ahead of the finely tuned physical fat adaptations; although, I do get the heightened energy and stamina rather quickly, too.
