Bernie Sanders announced he’s running for president in 2020. For which party? Where is the (D) in front of his name? I think it’s possible but unlikely Bernie will get the nomination. It’s very likely Kamala Harris (or another safe neoliberal) will get the nomination, being a woman of color who pushes neoliberalism.
I think Tulsi Gabbard is their best candidate, meaning she has a snowball’s chance in hell of getting the nomination, because she’s anti-war and the party is corrupt garbage and rigs their primaries. In my opinion, Bernie has the best chance of winning against Trump and is the second best Democratic candidate after Tulsi, but the party is more focused on a perfect neoliberal warmonger rather than winning, as we saw in 2016.
I voted for Bernie in the 2016 primary but would never vote for him again as he sold out to the DNC and Hillary and pushes their lies about a fake Russian hoax and Trump being Hitler non-stop. Bernie lost many supporters but also picked up many. The problem with progressives is they call out the government for being corrupt, but want to swell up the already bloated and overreaching government with more taxes and control. Time will tell who gets the nomination, but the DNC’s thumb is already on the scales.
