[dtube] RIPPLE (XRP) Cryptocurrency Review

in dtube •  7 years ago  (edited)

This is my review for Ripple (XRP) that I posted on my YouTube channel on July 3rd 2017.

Although I still stand by much of what was said in this video, I do think that XRP is currently overvalued. I would NOT invest in XRP at its current price.

The bankers are trying to co-opt the crypto market. Most new people are looking for something cheap with low fees and a sense of "offciality". The main point of crpyto was DECENTRALIZATION.

Ripple is definetly not decentralizated and shouldn't even be considered crypto.

how so? it's open source and anyone can run a node!

Company shit fully premined and 0 privacy, how bout that?

It has about the same level of privacy as bitcoin! Premine isn't so bad as the supply still has a maximum limit. I don't really like Google ventures being involved and it certainly aimed at bankers but if it can replace SWIFT I see it as a net positive.

How premine isn't so bad when it's 100% premine.

that's the only way you can have proof of stake which makes it the same like any company your basically just selling shares which can be traded in 5 seconds.

Ripple is POS? lol. What companies have cryptos that have POS? just name one.

Louis, your videos are really informative, thanks so much for them. Question: Considering the ethical issues some have with XRP, I wanted to get your opinion...do you think that crypto can remain 'ethical' in the long run? With so many big players wanting a piece of the pie it got me thinking, 'What's stopping big investors from owning a small fortune of one crypto and have a large influence in its performance?'...for examples

Great question! I think I'll address this in my next Q&A video

Nice review and hope you make good profit, but I don't like XRP, let's see what they do.

I completely understand your POV. I'm not passionate about it in any kind of way either. But it has been very profitable.

yeah I know, I've following you, and I hope you have a very profitable future, but we have to watch out with that people!

Great video. Thanks for sharing. Keep up the good work Louis.

Thank you!

Thanks for sharing Louis! Could you share your thoughts on steem token?

Since $XRP was dissed by the owners of Coinbase, I think the Japanese exchange will finally add it for Asian markets like South Korea and othersm

Louis, I have heard banks are testing Ripple network and protocol but not the Ripple coins we buy on crypto exchanges. What's your thought on this?

Ripple wont be successful, bankers will resister it.

It was nice to hear your opinion about ripple. Thanks

Thanks for sharing. I've got some Ripple when it was $2.50. Do you think it will go up to $5 in the long run? Also what are your thoughts on the Steem platform?

great review!

Great video explaining Ripple. But I still hate it compared to other crypto especially as it knocked my beloved Ethereum down to number two. How dare they?

If I may go off topic for a minute about DTube as a platform. Firstly I keep subscribing to you and then getting logged out for no apparent reason and unsubscribed from all my subscriptions . It is infuriating. I end up having to keep one of your videos in the Watch Later section and then clicking on you name to find your new ones. Am I doing something wrong?

Another problem that is potentially discouraging me from using it is that now videos/posts are posted on several different sites that valuable comments from one site are potentially not being picked up and as fully discussed as people are watching the same video on another site e.g. YouTube. It would be good for DTube and YouTube and Steem etc to find a way to share comments made on each other's video postings, a post api or something like that. I realise that you are better remunerated on Dtube but if people are leaving good or greater volume comments elsewhere then potentially I am more likely to view your videos on the elsewhere option. That first mover advantage e.g. with YouTube is something that will work against new platforms like DTube potentially.

check out my ripple technical analysis on my page

OK...but for the sake of have a diversified portfolio. It's on the other side!

interested what is sir share ,, 👌

Good video explaining Ripple. It's good to know it's a safe investment at least. I subscribe to your Youtube Channel. I really like the common sense advice. Keep up the good work.
