Around 80 children aged five to 10 from the village of Jub-Ad-Dhib had to attend classes in cramped tarpaulin tents or under the hot sun on Wednesday. One day earlier, Israeli authorities had decided to confiscate and destroy steel terrapin cabins used as school buildings along with other educational equipment.
The area was sealed off, declared a military zone, and security forces used stun grenades to keep residents away, Israeli human rights group B’Tselem said in a statement.
The security forces also removed solar panels powering a school for Bedouin children near Jerusalem on 9 August, ignoring a High Court petition over their removal in the process.

More than 300 structures in the occupied West Bank demolished by the Israeli authorities in 2016 were at least in part funded by the EU or international NGOs, an Israeli military official said earlier this year.
Last year also saw the highest number of Israeli demolitions of Palestinian structures since rights groups began record-keeping.

It's a real shame to learn about this. But I won't let it stop me from being friends with two Isreali's I've made good friends with here in Kh Pha Ngan. They are not in support of these things. They are really good people, open minded, and fun to hang out with.
To be American, I have my share of embarassment. How about 1,000,000 Iraques killed for starters in the last decade or so. For what? Doesn't the story go....the 9-11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia, our alies. Shouldn't we have bombed them?
Point is that from my travels I've noticed that the citicens of most countries are good people, it's the out of control governments and power elite that can certainly cause shame for the countrymen.
The wolrd is in tourmoil, seems like it has been that way forever. But along my travels I see that people around the world are truly waking up, and maybe that will bring an end or atleast a slowing down to the atrocities your post talks about. Thank you for sharing you really got me thinkng on this one.

This is how uninformed you are. Palestinians don't have missiles. They have no navy, no army, no airforce and not even an airport.
The Palestinians are under an illegal military occupation. They have the right, under international law to resist. So, if they did have missiles, they have every right to use them.
The Palestinians are up against the world's 11th largest military power, funded by the world's largest military power. And your tv tells you that this is some sort of 'fair fight' a 'war of equals'.

I don't like anyone being blown up its not good, however, for her to call people uninformed or uneducated when she herself looks at one side of the deal and is like "Yes this is right way of things." She has blinders on and won't see anything from anyone elses perspective. Also Palestine is the production makers of 11 types of short range rockets, 1 type of multiple rocket launcher, 3 different types of Anti Tank missles, and 4 types of Mortars. One of the specific types of short range missles that they use the "al-Quds" Rocket is used by Palestinians and is misfired more often than not, killing civilians when they are meant for military zones and bases. So yes, if a country was trying to blow me up, and was killing my civilians I would A.) Set up check points so I could make sure said rockets werent being transported on streets, and B.) I order the demolition of buildings were said rockets are said to be held.

I agree, the assumption that you are uninformed was unfair. I will not defend that. I will, however, defend the Palestinian people.
Those weapons are manufactured and used by an organization called the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The vast majority of Palestinians have no affiliation with the group and are completely innocent. I will not defend the actions of the PIJ, but I hope you can understand my frustration when the Israeli govt. targets Palestinian children because of the actions of a single Palestinian terrorist organization. I have yet to see any sources stating that any weapons were on site.

I understand that from their point of view it is unfair, I honestly don't have a dog in either fight. I just wanted to make a point.
