The Achilles Heel of DTube

After having several of my videos taken down from YouTube for "wrong think", I've been keeping an eye out for alternatives.

And to test the waters, so to speak, I uploaded the video of the New Zealand Shooting.

The way I figure it, if that doesn't get censored, then there's literally a 0% any video I could ever make would get censored.

Heck, my videos are a fart in the wind in comparison (Red Pill/PUA/Financial Advice videos. Youtube especially hates that I tell men & women to get off they're lazy asses & that they aren't perfect just for literally existing).

Now, I want to start the rest of this rant off on a positive note by saying, I love DTube.

The idea, the concept of a decentralized video platform is revolutionary to say the least.

In fact, by design, it makes for the perfect anti-censorship platform. A place where all opinions & ideas are given light, regardless of who agrees or disagrees with them.

There's just 1 small problem:

Censorship is literally 1 click away. Namely, the downvote button.

1 downvote is all it takes to essentially destroy someone's DTube career.

It's the ultimate form of censorship for/against content creators, as the power is given directly to those who disagree with you.

You can't prevent people from disagreeing with you, it's an inevitable part of life.
And to make disagreeing with someone the key to destroying their channel, a key held by all users, you invite the inevitable destruction of the platform itself.

Because without creators, without channels, without videos, there is no platform.

As for competition?
All it would take is Google (or any competitor really) hiring a small team to dislike/downvote videos, and just like that, DTube is a baron wasteland.

DTube devs, if you're reading this, understand that THIS is your one & only Achilles Heel.
Fix this, and your platform would be unrivaled.
