Leon S. Kennedy is on his way to his first day on his new job as a police officer in Raccoon City.

As he stops at a local gas station, it seems like something's wrong.. Upon his investigation, Leon finds the owner, who turned into a cannibalistic zombie.

Running for his life, Leon meets another survivor, Claire Redfield. There's no time for chit-chat however, as a horde of zombies soon surrounds them!

Fleeing in a police car, the duo makes its way to Raccoon City, but get split up after an explosion. They decide to meet up at the local Police Department..
