Healthy Communication And Your Relationships - Daily Inspiration. Take a two minutes and focus on this message to start your day! Get comfortable, drop your shoulders, take a deep breath, become fully present, close your eyes and listen.

‪Too many relationships end in heartbreak, betrayal, neglect, lies, and in general earth shattering bewilderment. There are 1000 reasons why this happens but today let’s talk about one. Communication. Can you speak freely and can you be heard? Most cannot, but why?‬
•
Let’s be honest most relationships today are surviving on very little communication and the communication they do you have is often times very calculated. What I mean by this is that both parties involved are intentionally saying things specific ways or not saying things at all. This is primarily done to avoid conflict with the other person. •
When your communication or lack there of is crafted a certain way to avoid conflict then you know that your communication is severely lacking. So why is this important? Well for one thing when communication is lacking resentment goes up. If you cannot speak freely and you cannot be heard your bond and connection with that human suffers. Your ability to trust that other human is compromised and your relationship is challenging at best.
•
We realize we need better communication but where do we start? A hindrance to healthy communication is reactions from both parties. If you cannot control your own reactions then the other person can never be heard and will stop speaking. We must individually go within and see what needs to be addressed so that reactions from us can be reduced or eliminated completely.
•
If your partner is unwilling to do the necessary personal work to reduce their reactions, that is not relevant to your personal growth. Their choices should not stop you from improving your ability to communicate. You begin within, no matter what, no excuses. Your relationship will evolve and grow even if you are the only one doing personal work. You might also be surprised that your partner unintentionally begins work of their own in response to yours.
