'This is what it looks like when a potato plant makes potatoes above ground instead of below ground.
A potato planted in May 2017 suffered damage during the Cape Storm in June 2017. In July I noticed purple tubers growing along the stem. After asking around of FB the answer came from Oranjezicht City Farm : "Potato plants will produce tubers under any condition of growth. If normal Tuber formation under ground is prevented, then the formation of tubers will happen above ground. The above ground tubers can be eaten but they are not that tasty."'
