Easy Three Ingredient Sponge Cake Recipe

Hello DTube and Steemians!

Time for another baking video! In this episode of In the Kitchen with Matt, I will show you how to make a sponge cake. This sponge cake recipe is easy to make and only requires three ingredients! This cake is perfect for the base for a strawberry short cake or numerous other types of cakes you may want to make, start with this, and then do whatever toppings and decorations you want. If I can make it you can make it, let's get baking!

Ingredients:

  • 6 large eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup of white granulated sugar (225g)
  • 1 cup of cake flour or all-purpose (plain) flour (130g)

Tools:

  • hand mixer or stand mixer
  • large bowl
  • spatula
  • 2 9-inch round cake pans
  • cookie sheet
  • parchment paper

    I like this recipe! I cooked such cake and decorated it with chocolate or whipped whites (egg's whites) and some nuts)
