I would not waste my money on an SL2 to be honest... not for what you need it! It is cheaper, but I would just save that money, stack a little more on top of it and then get a much better performing DSLR. Buying the new SL2, is like going to a mall to buy $100 pair of Jordans, but settling for some $85 knockoffs... the price difference isn't large enough to not buy the J's

I have used Nikon all of my (photographic) life. I fond that Nikon provides a superior camera for the world of still photographs however I believe that Canon's video specs are better. I also think the user-face of Nikon's cameras is better ;)

I would recommend the EOS 70D, i am looking to invest in that as well for my vLOGs. So excited because my production is about to go through the roof. It does have great autofocus as they say and consider buying a 10-22 mm wide angle lens with it. its pure magic!
