If you find yourself scratching your head, trying to discover which brand you should add into your skin regimen, I’m here to introduce you to my new favourite moisturizer—the Avène Skin Recovery Cream.
Finding the right moisturizer for your skin type is no small feat. Oftentimes, it takes a lot of trial and error to find the perfect formula between face creams, lotions, anti-aging properties and more.
Let’s dive into why I think you need this moisturizer, and why.
Product Review of the Avène Skin Recovery Cream
The Avène Skin Recovery Cream is created for those with hypersensitive and irritated skin. It’s also fragrance-free, preservative-free, hypoallergenic, soap-free, soy-free, and gluten-free. The cream helps reduce redness and protects the skin barrier.
A breakdown of quick product facts include:
• Price: $35 or around 15 Euros
• Skin type: Suitable for all skin types
• Key ingredients: Includes paracrine, plant squalene, glycerine, and Avène thermal water.
Why Avène Skin Recovery Cream is My New Favourite Moisturizer
Overall, I found this cream moisturizing with long-lasting wear throughout the day. It’s an ideal medium-weight moisturizer that really sinks into your skin.
In my past experience, a lot of light moisturizers left my skin feeling tight and irritated, or caused my skin to become dry and flaky. When I tested the Avène Skin Recovery Cream, I was happy that it didn’t make my skin look greasy or matted. In fact, my skin felt normal—which is something a lot of products can’t seem to do!
I found that this moisturizer has simple ingredients that really helps heal my skin, especially in the winter and dry summer months. As a medium-weight texture, it hydrated my skin without clogging my pores or causing my skin to break out.
The only negative comments I have is that I wish they made bigger bottles of this cream. It’s small and doesn’t last long. However, in my opinion, it’s worth the expense for the 0% fragrance, 0% alcohol, and 0% paraben properties.
After using the Avène Skin Recovery Cream, I can confidently say that it beats my previous favourite moisturizer, Nivea Soft Moisturizing Cream, hands down.
If you’re looking for a new moisturizer that helps hydrate and reduce irritation on your skin, this one is definitely for you!

Thank you 😘 Oh! Is it because of the sweat and then your skin gets irritated? I mean, you always can give it ago because water/sweat dries out your skin and this causes the irritation if you can get it, try it! As it calms the skin and hydrates, moisturises the skin at the same time 😊
